Just picked up a 2026 Elantra SEL Sport in Colorado – How did I do on the price?

Hey everyone,

Just wrapped up the paperwork on a new 2026 Hyundai Elantra SEL Sport (Serenity White) out here in Colorado and wanted to share the breakdown of the deal to see how it stacks up.

I managed to negotiate a pretty hefty dealer discount up front and stack a manufacturer rebate on top of it. No crazy dealer add-ons or hidden packages were forced into the deal.

Here are the numbers:

  • MSRP: $26,055
  • Negotiated Vehicle Price: $22,500 (before taxes, fees, and rebates)
  • Dealer Discount: $3,555 off MSRP (~13.6% discount)
  • Dealer D&H / Doc Fee: $799.50
  • Taxes & State Fees: $1,933.86 (local sales tax) + $101.92 (registration/title fees)
  • Subtotal OTD (Before Rebate): $25,335.28
  • Hyundai Retail Rebate: -$2,000
  • Final Bottom-Line Price (Including Rebate): $23,335.28

Getting $3.5k off the sticker price on a brand-new 2026 model felt like a massive win, though the dealer doc fee was a bit high.

What do you guys think? Anyone else buying a 2026 model right now seeing similar discounts?
