I’m starting to get attacked by other players (and I don’t like it lol)

Hi, I know this is part of the game but is there anything I can do besides the shield of protection to protect myself? It’s always huge players who attack me and take all my resources. Waaaah 😩 I thought being part of a clan should protect me?

Can’t decide what to do-pls give me your opinions

I (58 female) have been nearsighted since I was 7. My current prescription is -9.00 in both eyes with astigmatism. I also have minimal farsighted but can read the smallest print if I take my glasses off and bring it close to my face.

Since my late 40’s I’ve been unable to wear contacts due to dry eyes. This caused a lot of sadness for me because I hated wearing glasses and at an age where I felt I was looking older, having to wear glasses just made it worse.

My optometrist told me years ago that the best thing to happen to me would be to get cataracts at a young age because then I wouldn’t have to wear my glasses at all (except to read). And now I have cataracts and have a date set July 15 to get both eyes done at the same time using a Toric Monofocal lens in each eye.

The cataracts only mildly bother me and I think I could go a few years without needing the surgery but I’m excited about it because I won’t have such a strong prescription and the thought of doing things without glasses is my main motivator

Also I’m working for another two years and my work insurance would pay for at least half of the cost of the lenses.

But a huge concern for me are the posts I read on here about losing my close up vision. I do a lot of reading, playing games on my phone, working on the desktop, constantly needing to get eyelashes or fluff out of my eyes. Yesterday I read someone comment about not being able to see well for the first 3 feet and how negatively life altering losing this vision had been! I’ve been up all night thinking I should cancel my surgery. I don’t know what to do. I don’t mind wearing g glasses for all the closeup work I will do but Will the reading glasses be as good as my current close up vision? Please tell me your experience with adapting to losing close up vision. Will I need to wear glasses only to read and do closeup work? Or will I not be able to properly see someone’s face if they are standing 3 feet away from me?

What is an OCD T test?

Hi, I’m getting cataract surgery in 3 weeks. Before I do I need to go for an OCDT test? On account of my high myopia and astigmatism. I’m not sure if I’m saying the name of the test the right way. Has anyone heard of this test? It will be done in a hospital and is basically checking my eyes health before the surgery.

Has anyone with dry eyes and astigmatism had cataract surgery?

Hi, I (58F) have cataracts. I live in Canada if that makes a difference. Ive been offered the “surgery” but because of my dry eyes (diagnosed 10+ yrs ago) he recommended monofocal or a procedure that also corrects astigmatism. The astigmatism procedure costs more but I have good insurance. I’m more concerned with my dry eyes after the fact. He says currently my vision can still be corrected to 20/20 even with the cataracts. Should I do this? Should I do the monofocal (doesn’t correct the astigmatism so I will still need strong glasses but at least I won’t have cataracts) OR should I go for the astigmatism correction which improves my eye sight ( near and far)?

Getting desperate to find a place to live

Hi, I need to find a place by the 22nd or I will be cut off EIA and then homeless. I’ve looked on every website for low income apartments and either no one calls me back or there are no appts even available for rent despite an ad being up! I applied for one in the last week but apparently they had multiple requests for it and picked someone else. Is anyone aware of any place out there willing to rent to a low income older person?

I have one older cat but I’m desperate enough now to consider giving my cat up if I can’t find a pet friendly place. I really don’t want to though we’ve been together for 15 years. But I’m so scared. I don’t care if it’s a room, a basement, I just need a roof over my head. Iv never been so close to being homeless and I’m very scared.

Preferring to live in the west end, downtown or Wolseley area near landslide and furby because I know the area well and go to soup kitchens regularly in that area. But like I said I’m desperate so really will go anymore to get a safe roof on my head.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
