Positive OPK on CD7 while still on Clomid (day 5) — is this normal?? 😳

Hi everyone, I could really use some insight. I’m on cycle day 7, currently on day 5 of Clomid (took my 4th pill last night). This morning I got a positive LH surge on two different OPK brands (Easy@Home and Inito).

This feels way too early — I haven’t even finished my Clomid course yet. Has anyone else experienced an early positive like this while still taking Clomid? Was it a true surge, or could Clomid be causing a false positive? Did you still ovulate on schedule, or earlier than expected?

Thank you 💛

Would you join a local IUI/IVF Meetup, or is this a terrible idea?

I'm currently going through the IUI/IVF journey myself (43 yo, first babe), and one thing I've realized is how lonely, stressful, and emotionally exhausting it can be. Even with supportive family and friends, it's hard for people to truly understand unless they've been through it.

It made me wonder if others feel the same.

Would it be helpful to have a casual local Meetup—not a formal support group—but simply a chance to meet people who are on the same journey? Maybe grabbing coffee, going for a walk, hiking, trying a new restaurant, or just chatting with people who truly "get it."

Sometimes I think what we need most isn't more medical advice—it's knowing we're not going through this alone.

Would you join something like this? If not, what would stop you? I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts.

43F/51M — AMH 0.3, low ovarian reserve, first IUI failed. Feeling lost on what's next.

Hi everyone, back again to share where things stand and ask for your experience.

A little about our situation:

- I'm 43, my partner is 51

- We tried naturally for 6 months before seeing a fertility doctor

- My AMH is 0.3, and my partner's sperm count and motility are also on the lower end — both reflecting our age

- So far we've done 1 round of ultrasound-timed intercourse and 1 IUI cycle, both using Clomid 50mg

- Both times I had 2-3 mature follicles

- My progesterone came back strong at 44 ng/mL, which had me feeling hopeful

- On Clomid, both cycles ran noticeably longer than my normal 23-day cycle — both stretched to around 28 days

My period arrived today, and I won't pretend it doesn't hurt.

Knowing my age and how limited my ovarian reserve is, I know time isn't really on my side. I'm trying to figure out what's next — another IUI, move to IVF, or something else.

If anyone here has been in a similar place — similar age, similar AMH, maybe also navigating a partner's fertility factors, or Clomid delaying your cycle too — I would be so grateful to hear what you decided and how it went. Even just knowing I'm not alone in this would mean a lot right now.

Thank you for reading. Sending strength to everyone else in this wait with me. 💛
