My filling fell out!

I just got a filling done on one of my lateral incisors in the front of my mouth because of an interproximal cavity. I’ve had it for years now (old dentist didn’t ever ask to do anything about it??) but it was not neccesarily noticeable. I wanted to get it filled, I did so just this Thursday. The filling my current dentist gave me just fell out today somehow. I didn’t feel it and just noticed as I was brushing tonight. Is this my fault ? I didn’t eat anything out of the ordinary, especially nothing hard or corrosive. I didn’t get any strange aftercare instructions either, just about numbing going away. I’m seeing the dentist tuesday to get other fillings and I’ll probably get it fixed then, but it’s really embarrassing to look like this until then.
