What happened to Heart Evangelista’s lower teeth? Decayed? Drilled down? Yuck! 🤮

In case you missed it, Heart Evangelista (accidentally?) revealed the current condition of her lower teeth during her guest appearance on Family Feud.

Did Heart forget to wear her lower veneers, exposing the drilled-down condition of her natural teeth? Or are her lower teeth decayed due to dental erosion, poor hygiene, or both? 😷

Heart, you should take better care of your hygiene.
Maybe that’s why no major fashion or jewelry house wants you as their brand ambassador.

Cavity or staining?

Got a clearer picture. Does this look like a cavity or staining? If it is a cavity does it look deep?

Hole in tooth

Last August I had my teeth cleaned for the first time and straight after the session I had noticed a chip on the lower part of my tooth. The crack looks like it’s developed into somewhat of a cracked hole in the tooth and I’m not sure what it could be. The tooth too has this white chalk colour there also. My teeth are overcrowded and at the moment that tooth has had no pain. Does anyone know what this could be?

Two front teeth ache and hurt

Hi all! My two front teeth hurt a lot. They ache and throb all day and this happens very often. I brush twice (maybe even three) times a day and I barely floss. I know I should floss more but if that is a cause of the pain, why do the front two hurt and none of the others?

I’ll bring it up to my dentist next time I go but it’s starting to irritate me and I wasn’t sure if there was something I could do now to help the pain.

I’m trying to think of more info to put out there but I don’t vape, smoke, or do any drugs (which was something mentioned in another similar post). Thank you!

18 year old doing market research for a school project on oral health supplements — would love your input

Hey everyone, I just graduated high school and I'm spending my summer researching whether an oral health supplement concept has any real demand before I pursue it further. No brand, no product yet — just trying to learn. Would really appreciate 2 minutes if you're willing. https://forms.gle/kHgwrE27eStQpz4i6

White growth on 16 month old gum

My niece is 16 months old, and the past week has had this growth on her gums. She was at the hospital yesterday and had some of it cut out, but not much of a change from her. (This picture was taken before she had anything cut out). Mum is very worried about it and has been given at an emergency appointment at a major hospital 2 1/2 hours away for tomorrow.

Stain Removal

Hi there. I have a dentist appointment in a few weeks for a teeth cleaning. I haven’t been to the dentist in 2 years due to no insurance. Last time I was at the dentist, I hadn’t been in 5 years before that. Anyways, when I went two years ago, I went for a cleaning and to have two fillings done. I’ve had these stains since last time I was at the dentist, but the dentist did not remove these stains and mentioned I had good teeth once the cavity was removed. For my upcoming appointment, I plan on telling the dentist I’d like these stains removed if possible. Wanted to get anyone’s opinion on if and how these stains can be removed? Most stains are in my molars and the crevices of my teeth. I’m just concerned I’ll be stuck with these stains. Unfortunately these are the best pictures I could take. Thank you.

A chunk of my tooth broke off. Do I need to get it taken care of immediately?

One of my molars with a large filling fractured yesterday and a chunk of the enamel broke of when I bit into a chip. There's not pain or bleeding or irritation whatsoever. I put the piece of my tooth in a zip loc bag with my saliva in it. The only thing that's irritating me is the filling rubbing against my tongue, but it doesn't cause me any pain.

I tried to call my dentist this morning, but they are closed for the day and will reopen tomorrow. Can I wait until tomorrow or is this an urgent problem.

My dentist straight up told me my teeth were "a choice" and I haven't been back in two years, how do you find someone who actually doesn't shame you?

This is kind of embarrassing to post but whatever.

About two years ago I went in for a routine cleaning. My teeth aren't perfect, I drink coffee, I went through a rough period where I wasn't taking great care of myself, and my gums had receded a bit. Nothing dramatic, just not Instagram teeth.

The dentist looked in my mouth for maybe ninety seconds and said, and I quote, "well these are the consequences of years of neglect". Then handed me a treatment plan for $4,800 and left the room.

I cried in my car.

I know I need to go back. My teeth haven't gotten worse as far as I can tell but I also have no idea because I've been too anxious to book anything. Every time I think about calling a clinic I just remember that guy's voice.

I've been reading about how to find dentists who are good with anxious patients or people who feel embarrassed about their teeth. Someone mentioned looking for clinics that specifically say they're judgment-free, one person in another thread mentioned a dentist in Winnipeg that apparently their friend who hadn't been in years went to without any issues, which gave me a tiny bit of hope.

But more than anything I just want to know, did anyone else have a bad experience like this and then find somewhere better? How did you get yourself back in the chair? Did you tell the new dentist upfront that you were nervous?

I'm just tired of having this low key anxiety about something I know I need to do.

Confusion about toothpastes

Please help - my gums are severely inflamed and my teeth are just crumbling. I did 3 root canals and 3 crowns in January, and yesterday a piece of my top tooth just fell out, I guess there was a cavity there that they couldn’t repair because the tooth is mostly held together with fillings. I’m absolutely freaking out, I can’t seem to stop the spread and my gum issues are making things worst. I had a deep cleaning last year, followed by 3 month cleanings but had to stop at the end of my pregnancy because I can’t lay flat without passing out.

I started researching toothpastes and I’m just so confused, I see livfresh and hydroxyapatite toothpastes and some say remineralizing, some say they help gum inflammation and prevent plaque from forming. I really have no idea which to choose, which one actually works or helps.

Please I need your recommendations - I absolutely do not care about the cost, I’m 10 k deep into the dentist just in the last 5 months with no end in sight, toothpaste isn’t going to be the thing that bankrupts me at this point

11 month old - cavity?

Exclusively breast feed - does feed over night. Is this a cavity? We brush 2x a day. No added sugar or juice. 😔

root canals?

I wanted to ask about people's experiences. If you had a root canal did you have pain before on that tooth and area if so how? I saw someone say they needed a root canal but had no pain eating and that is making me confused tbh.

Is brushing your teeth with lemon bad?

NAD question

My mom brushed her teeth with a orange colored mix of lemon, banana peel insides, pink salt, toothpaste. She said it cleaned her teeth really well. I thought well that sounds basically the equivalent of using sandpaper scraping off all enamel ruining her teeth.

Full story

I didn't think much of it when my mom told me she was following those ridiculous random Facebook homemade diy ai 5 minute craft people. Saw my mom mixing something orange, she said it worked well really getting rid of stuff around her teeth that regular toothpaste didn't get out. I asked her what she used, she said lemon, pink salt, inside the banana peel part, toothpaste mixed together. Then I thought how the internet which I confirmed with the dentist said you should wait 30 minutes after eating so anything acidic goes away and you don't brush the softened enamel caused by the acidity. She doesn't listen to me and trust these random Facebook people who don't sound like dentists or chemists.

What are my next steps?

Do I need an extraction, filling, or crown??I went to the dentist like 2 weeks ago and got a new scan and X-ray the whole 9 with a cleaning. They also classified my gums as healthy in my perio chart, and my bone structure itself is good. When exposed to air it isn’t sensitive, I haven’t ate since it chipped but tapping my teeth it isn’t sensitive. Top premolar btw
