BootySprout

Recently picked up a BootySprout for the home gym so I could get more hip thrusts in. Yes, I know it’s silly to have a one-job machine.. but here we are.
I have a 45lb resistance band, and I’m still learning how to properly set myself up (shoulders and feet placement) but is the form right? What could I do better?

Should I be able to reenlist in the AF Reserves after finding out that I have a 100% P&T disability rating?

Hey everyone. I should hand you a potato now, because I got really long winded.

I transitioned from Active Duty AF (12 years) to an IMA Reserve position via Palace Front back in February 2024. It was on a 3-year enlistment. I filed a BDD, expecting maybe a 30% at best.

I immediately completed my first IMA in July 2024 because I was attending college using my GI Bill/VA work-study starting in August. In September I received a rating of 90% with one claim (tinnitus) still pending.

The VA had me complete a second evaluation for tinnitus. In December of 2024, I was informed I was rated at a 100% P&T in status due to being diagnosed by both ENTs as having Ménière’s Disease. …it explained a lot. And trust me, I would have preferred a 90% and not the debilitating ear issues that can randomly knock me tf out.

I was fortunately employed by my college’s Department of Military and Veterans service center, so I asked my boss what it meant for my reserve status? He told me that legally, I don’t have to disclose my rating. My SHPE documented my ear problems, and my audiograms showed the progressive hearing loss (yeah, had to bust out my initial one, thank goodness I kept a paper copy of all of them) but it showed me cleared for duty.

I have discussed ear infections/tinnitus with each subsequent PHA/MHA but never thought to bring up the diagnosis.

Flash forward to now: I completed my annual IMAs for FY ’25 and ’26. I received my pre-reenlistment screening form for reenlistmenteligibility, and I worried that I may not even be eligible.

Read through DoDI 6130.03, v.1 and realized Ménière’s Syndrome (I see disease and syndrome used interchangeably) is a disqualifying condition for duty. But so is chronic eustachian tube dysfunction, which is documented on my Place Front medical examination/clearance.

Have I messed up? Should I have reported the condition? I am not sure if I should reenlist or just separate. I’ll have 15 “SAT” years after everything closes out. I am so close to being done, but is it something I could get in trouble for? Where I do my IMAs is actually a better climate than where I live, I have only had one episode during work this entire time, but I am a flight chief and can just sit at my desk until it passes.

I‘m probably overthinking this, but any advice or guidance is more than welcome. My knowledge of anything IR side of things is still pretty weak sauce, but it would be nice know if I should stay or just transition everything over to the VA (ChampVA vs Tricare // VGLI vs SGLI).

🥔Thank you!
