Some of my favorite images from my travels up in the great North. First time I've been up this way and it's truly a marvel in every which you you could imagine.

The people, the land they inhabit.

There's vast tracts of some of the most beautiful scenery (&wildlife) you will see on this planet, almost otherworldly tbh.

Pastoralist communities who can trace their lineage eons back and who still walk the walk their forefathers walked when they could walk.

Scorching sun bearing down on semi-arid terrain that stains the mark of resilience, forever etched onto the skin and feet. Laggers creeping over the earth like a tattoo, carrying the passing precipitate turning from brown and bare to lush and green on a whim.

Communities that have been at each others necks and have also been back to back as far back as either of them can recall. Old Trading routes that would be considered informal in todays world, but goods leave their origin and get to their destination intact like on an honor system.

THE GREAT NORTH, as I have come to refer to it.

The North awaits, for those who are bold enough!
