New Jayce enthusiast - jungler (tips & tricks?)

Been playing ok and off for a long time, always jungle, it’s my comfort zone I don’t intend to change the role.

I recently discovered Jayce and I love the kit and the playstyle. I’ve got about 50 games on him now and I think I’m doing okay - but I struggle to translate my personal decent play in to winning situations for the team.

I feel like I’m very dependent on having a decent teamcomp and as soon as there is no frontline or follow up damage I can’t really do much in teamfights other than EQ from distance. Often everyone on the team sort of seems to expect me to facetank and run up front for objectives as I’m the strongest on the team.. But that just doesn’t work.

So.. If you have any tips on how to manage teamfights or how to effectively help team get ahead once Jayce is ahead.. I’m all ears. I guess it constantly feels like playing catch up even though you’re actually doing good cd wise and kda wise (compared to rest of team).

I think it’s especially hard if there’s no frontline in the team (range toplaners etc).

Any generic advise is also welcome

Lost at champ select

More often than not you just know. It’s going to be a waste of time, it will result in a loss, you won’t have a good time.

You hop into a lobby and there’s the yasuo/yone combo, on your team! Next lobby, ashe top, akshan mid and senna jinx bot. Surely it gets better right? Well yes, sometimes. But more often absolutely not.

Like, what do I even do? (Almost) full AD, zero engage teams. And I’m here trying to stick to 1/2 champs that I enjoy, which are neither engage nor AP.

Before the timer even starts you already know it will be miserable..
