Fake allergies?
Is it possible to imagine allergies?
For years I’ve been sensitive to things like kiwis, cats, pollen, pineapple, grapes, glycerin, and more. Whenever I come into contact with them, my whole body feels like it’s on fire — itching, headaches, watery eyes, small rashes, and trouble breathing.
A few months ago I had a severe reaction to roses. It got so bad that I lost consciousness. The itching and headaches were unbearable, and an ambulance had to be called. The strange part is that I never officially checked any of this with a doctor until recently, when everything became much worse. I could barely leave the house because of pollen and people selling roses everywhere. Even 5 minutes outside would make me unable to function. So I finally went to a doctor and explained everything. She sent me for an ALEX 3 allergy test, which checks around 300 allergies at once.
The results came back completely negative. Not a single allergy.
What’s confusing is that I was prescribed medication, and it actually helped calm the symptoms — not completely, but enough.
I don’t know what to do. I’m scared nobody will believe me anymore. Help?
