I was installing FNAF fan games for the first time, and i was trying to find which proton would work so i downloaded all of them and when i found one that worked i went back and deleted the rest.

This was when I realized that I accidentally deleted an important one so now it keeps saying compatibility tool failed every time i try a game even when i reinstall the ones that i deleted.

The only way i can get my games to work is individually forcing steam compatibility tool on each one game, even new games that i download now

I was trying to run some FNAF fan games on my steam deck, but i ended up downloading a bunch of the compatibility tool launchers until i found one that worked and when i deleted the ones that i didn't need anymore, i think i accidentally deleted an important one.

Now when i go to launch games, it says "Compatibility tool failed" even when i re-download them again, i keep having to go to "force steam compatibility tool" every time i buy a new game now to get them to work

How do I make it so that steam picks the proton launcher automatically like it did before?

It's been pretty annoying to have to set the compatibility tool for each new game that I buy. I deleted the proton launchers in desktop mode if that helps, i can't remember which folder it was though
