This happened maybe a few months ago and I never posted it becuase I thought maybe I was the one in the wrong here.

Basically I was attempting to run a campaign with a group of 5 to kinda just let my writers itch go wild.

I found a guy who said he had a whole group who wanted to play and usually got super in character.

The group seemed cool but there was one guy that was just super agressive, hyper and seemed to be the energy of the group.

They all said he’s always like that so it’s not an issue and he gets the most in character so it’s better if he joins.

Then he straight up F slurred.

I was stunned, it took me a second to respond.
(This is abbreviated I don’t have the original text so this may or may not be unkowingly twisted )

Me: “Uh, yeah let’s not say that.”

The party: “Oh no it’s all good he’s allowed to say that and says it all the time.”

Me: “Well I’m not particularly comfortable with slurring so could I ask we don’t slur in this campaign”

(I’m not lgbtq+ but I’m an ally and get slightly triggered when I hear it)

Party member: “honestly man if your not going to let us slur I think it’s kinda taking away our player agency and I want a dm who will give agency so i dont think it’ll work out.”

I was then kicked from the server.

Present day im playing that server with a group I enjoy very much

Was I overreacting and that wasn’t an actual issue?

I am currently in the market for a group of fun goobers to play DnD with and I’m trying to make it half and half with gender cuz I’ve had players who feel uncomfortable being the only male/female there, hence why I am only accepting female players becuase I already have 2 male players.

But overall I’m a relatively new dm and I really like players that care about their characters story in the world which is suprisingly super hard to come by

Something I should probably mention is that I belive there are teens in the group so only let me know if you want to join if you yourself are a teen or don’t mind playing with teens.

But we will try to lean more towards roleplay, character building and comedy/fun times

We will be using dnd beyond, vvt, and discord vc

Time will be Sundays EST at an undecided time.
Session 0 will happen as soon as everyone’s free once the group is put together

Hello, I am a relatively new (not completley new I’ve run some amateur games before) GM who made a DnD campaign for some fun people to try out

I am accepting 5 brand new never played before players and to join please be in the age rating 16-20 (I don’t like playing with people too much older then me.)

I also want people who are not only social enough to not only be talking for one day of the week but also open to making complex characters for me to make fun arcs for in the story

It will be 50/50 roleplay and combat, further campaign rules will be revealed after joining.

There will be a session 0 but characters will have to all be made for that, more rules will be followed by those who joined.

This will be a high fantasy campaign with similarities to game of thrones and lord of the rings. Story will be provided to those who join.

Hello I have a bit of experience playing DnD but not much has piqued my interest.

Hello I am a relatively inexperienced player but all the games I have played have been nothing but “complete the quest from blank NPC to do this” don’t misunderstand me it’s still incredibly fun it’s just not really what I’m looking for.
I want to join a game with a unique atmosphere and a story with a DM who cares about the story. Not like a LOTR or steampunk style campaign where you all meet in a tavern and have to do a kings quest or something but rather something with uniqueness like Fantasy high.
I would prefer an experienced DM who knows what they are doing (and hasn’t started thier game yet) and a party who’s legit fun to play with and truley cares about their characters.

Time zone is EST availability is every day after 3:00 aside from Thursday and Saturday.

I would prefer a game on discord.

I would like to join a long term group that hasn’t started session 0 yet, I would also like to have an experienced Dm who allows player homebrew.
I would like a GM with a fun group who doesn’t just message each other on days of the session but the kind of people that would discuss things the week leading up to the session.
