In-game "ads" now?

Was playing a game last night as Revenant. After I got out of the game, I proceeded to get hit with a screen notifying me that there's a deal on Revenant going on and a button to directly take me to purchase?

Got into another lobby, lobby got disbanded, got hit with the same notification screen about the skin again.

Are you telling me when I log into the game already and look at the main screen, there's already like 3 "ads" for things going on in the skin shop and trying to let me know there's deals going on. Why on earth are you blasting me with an entire after-game screen akin to a 'match results' screen?

It'd be one thing if it was worth it - but I usually only care about one skin anyway out of any recolor line - So why would I drop a bunch of money for other things I'm not gonna use or care for? Those things are adding onto the price point of the ONE thing I want, hiking up it's price.

Anyone else get hit with this yet? What do y'all think? IMO, I'm just kinda fed up with monetization practices like this. Not even from Omeda themselves, just from gaming as a whole in the last decade.

Community thoughts on this Steam Review.

Cut off the poster's name to protect anonymity (somewhat, although you can just go and find the post if you're really that inclined).
I was browsing through Steam Reviews today just to kinda see where generally community sentiment sits about things (in other places besides Reddit/Discord) and saw this post.

I thought it was pretty valid for the most part on some of its complaints and issues it raises.
What do y'all think?

Does anyone know what Moghra'Yi means?

I got really interested in some of the real life connections that CoQ makes (Like Golgotha for example) and also how certain things like Galgal are actual representations of the angels of Abrahamic beliefs.

This lead me to wonder what "Moghra'yi" means as a name.

I don't know how accurate these are but, looking up the term Moghra gave me a definition of "a red/earthy ochre". There is also a place called the "Moghra Oasis" near the Qattara Depression in Egypt

Looking up what "yi" means at the end of a word led me to a few definitions:

  1. Possessive noun meaning "my" or some form of belonging to you/something.
  2. A suffix to an adjective meant to dictate that something is from a certain place or origin.

or

  1. A suffix to a verb that indicates someone is on the receiving end of an action.

Given that knowledge, I have to assume that Moghra'yi simply means, "Of the region of Moghra". Would that be wrong? Does it mean something else?

Omeda, finally solve your issue with toxicity.

I'm honestly tired of it and coming back onto the subreddit today to see a major post about toxicity removed, that specifically went out of its way to remove names and other such things from the video (so it COULD be posted) - is ridiculous.

I'm am tired of this company hiding behind things and trying to avoid the issue at hand. It finally needs to be talked about and addressed. Toxicity is getting ridiculous and if Omeda actually cares about this game, they need to step up and make a public announcement and also start cracking down.

I am NEVER going to give money to this game again, if they cannot solve the issue with their terrible playerbase. I'm not giving money to a game that enables some of the worst people to play it and are basically welcomed with open arms just as much as your actual decent players who don't act like that.

There are several solutions the playerbase has talked about:
- A positive reinforcement system of some kind
- Actual harsher bans that correlate to the behavior listed. Yes, bans SHOULD escalate - but some behavior shouldn't put you on the same little kiddy wrist slap timer you get for your first AFK/DC. You should be getting a week-long ban for homophobia/sexism/racism - that only starts when you try to log back into your account to play.

I dunno something man. But it's honestly ridiculous at this point and should've been addressed much longer ago.

Stop removing posts talking about it.
Stop hiding behind the rest of your community who wants to act like this is normal.
Stop pretending like this isn't an issue.
Stop pretending like you as a company don't have more power over your playerbase and can rightfully step up to say something.
Stop pretending like there's nothing you can do.
Stop shoving it under the rug and finally deal with it. I do NOT care if it isn't YOUR "priority", because it is CLEARLY the playerbase's priority and most people are sick of it and on the verge of leaving. If you actually care about this game Omeda, it's time to start stepping for the playerbase who supports you.

I'm honestly baffled. Anyone have tips?

This is the second game now where I've run into an Ikra running the Undertow augment.
What the hell am I supposed to do against an Ikra running that as a melee hero, honestly?
Even building things that counter it, haven't really seemed to help and I've literally been playing Terra.

It seems to basically be an instant trap for any melee hero right now. Might not be so bad to avoid as a ranged hero, but I don't understand what they were thinking with this augment tbh. The CC is incredible.
I was able to fight against the team for a while, but it basically became a CC hell and there was nothing I could do about it.

I cannot believe I have to ask this, but what is this playerbase's issue???

I just got out of a game that even though we won, was frankly just annoying as hell and makes me wonder what people's issues are.

This is a long read, I'll be detailing the whole match. I guess if you want TLDR, you can skip to the "And this is why I say A and B" section, as that'll probably be the closest thing to one.

Our team:
Rik Offlane 1/1/3
Howie Jungle 0/2/4
Renna Mid 7/1/2
Sparrow and I (playing as Phase) in the Duo, 9/0/0 and 0/1/9 respectively.

Enemy team:
Bayle Offlane 1/4/0
Yin Jungle 2/4/0
Neon Mid 0/2/1
The Fey and Kira in the Duo, 1/2/1 and 1/5/1 respectively.

18 minute match.
We had all three fangteeth by the end of the game.
They surrendered the game.

Sparrow and I baited the living hell out of the duo hard af and caused The Fey to disconnect about 3 - 5 mins into the match and NEVER come back.

We had a Jungle Howi, but he was actually pretty decent at rotating and ganks and just knew how to play a good Howi - so he was making the role work for him. Didn't bag his own KO's, but sure as hell helped set plenty up.

Our offlaning Riktor was sitting there complaining nobody was rotating over to his lane basically everything after like 5+ minutes. Howi took a bad trade over there, but frankly I was watching the map. Howi was in that fight alone with Bayle and Yin for about a solid 5 seconds before he died. Riktor probably could've done something to peel at that moment unless he was one-hit away from KO or was completely out of mana (icr what his stats were atm). Might've been a fight they could've won had Riktor committed, but he immediately backed out. Tbf, he was telling the Howi he was backing out and was insisting Howie do the same - but Howi really wanted to commit to the Bayle.

After that happens, we take out our Kira once or twice more before she begins rotating over to Rik's lane. This causes him to get furious and ask why nobody is over in his lane even though there's like 3 people (fair, but I was watching map closely and Kira had JUST shown up in the middle of his rant - so it wasn't like it was an egregious issue for long). Upon hearing that, Sparrow and I immediately rotate over and have a huge gank that takes out most (if not all) of the enemy team that was there.

Sparrow and I then proceed to rotate back to our lane to shove it since nobody is in it. A little bit in front of enemy Duo T2, Rik is complaining once again, asking us why nobody is over in his lane to help him take his T1? Tbf, Howi or Renna could've stayed, but there was no reason to since we just took out a bunch of people and wanted to punish the other lanes and Rik was perfectly capable of taking a T1 with nobody in lane before they showed back up.

We not only take T2, but an Inhib as well - while this guy is still actively bitching and moaning, asking why nobody helped him take his T1.
At this point, I'm fed up and I hop on mic. My Sparrow, who apparently is also fed up, also hops on mic. We both ask him why he's upset and point that the enemy team is being dumb by stacking up in his lane while we are actively shoving an inhib + core.

After that he completely flips lid and gets even MORE pissed and just keeps asking us over and over again why nobody is rotating or helping him out (even though we literally did that to massive success once and Howi was in his lane once and died for it) while everyone is in his lane.

This is why I say these two things:
A. The community is the biggest part of why this game doesn't grow.

Why the hell are you actively complaining about a game you are winning? I wouldn't even say the Riktor was having a bad game because he still had his T1 (iirc) and was 1/1/3 by the end of the game.
I have games I go 0/12/5 or something because the enemy team is viciously ganking my lane to a stupid degree, but we win and I'm happy because we won. I'm actually more pissy about the games I go like 24/1/3 and we lose.

and

B. People just don't understand how to close out games.

If Riktor was able to hold 3 - 5 people in his lane while we are actively shoving core, I don't understand why you are complaining that 3 - 5 people are in your lane while we are about to win the game (they surrendered before our final push though) with a core push? We do NOT need to show up to counter-gank or to help you tank a T1. A T1!!!!!!! vs a CORE!!!!!! That math ain't mathing. You want us to protect/take a T1 more than you want to win?

That's why so many teams lose games they should just win. Because angry guys like this are screaming at their team over mic to do something they absolutely shouldn't be bothering with, but are now doing out of guilt for the screaming man.

Can we stop running ADC in every lane?

I'm honestly sick of being forced to jungle in games where our team then picks 3 ADC's and I'm the ONLY frontliner.

And then no callouts/comms.
They can't handle a 1v1.

I was running some goofy build that honestly shouldn't have even gotten me as far as it did and I still was able to fight my opposing Boris up until he got a farm lead.

Like what am I supposed to do realistically to cover for a team of people that just don't want to play people that make sense? Let alone even WORK TOGETHER? I even helped feed my offlaner an early KO against their opponent and then they proceeded to just absolutely whiff it after that.
I'm tired of ADC's playing support in duo.
I'm tired of them in mid.
I'm tired of them in off.

It's not even a "skill-issue" thing. At some point it just gets BORING seeing my opponent/teammate being a random ADC in a lane they're not supposed to be in. EVERY GAME.
