I started at journaling, mainly with acrylics but also watercolor and oil pastel, about 2 months ago. I enjoy the process (when I'm not overthinking) but want to improve. Given what's here, is there something I can start to focus on to make things better? I think composition, maybe? Does it all just look like slop to you or do you see something here? Honest critiques requested!
Hello! I started painting (acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, ink, whatever I can get my hands on) a little over two months ago. I guess I'm doing more intuitive painting? It all just feels kind of messy so I'm wondering if anyone can give me some critiques or helpful pointers. I know it could all use work, but I feel like I need help with composition maybe? I just kind of slap some marks down and start responding to it - what can I do to improve?
I woke up out of a dead sleep to my zealous 4 year old dumping trash on me and calling confetti while he yelled HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY in my face, and I loved it. Sums up motherhood perfectly.
