I live in Lents and woke up early this morning around 5. There was a strong smell of sulfur in the air for about an hour. Anyone know if this is normal or what it's from?

It was so strong I thought maybe my cat got giardia farts but it was even stronger smelling outside.

I read that it's a great edible fruit and grows well in our climate but I've never seen one anywhere. I'm thinking of planting one but would like to make sure I actually like them first.
