I really like the depiction of these types of ultra-protective/all-or-nothing/I'll die for you/I'll fight for you/I'll do anything for you/ride or die/extreme loyalty level relationships where the man is basically a very strong, extremely capable, healthy protective, chivalrous masculine figure specifically towards the woman he cares about and cares for/loves, and he would fight 100 men to protect this woman 'his woman' so to speak (different anime spoiler for those not already familiar with "Berserk": think Guts from Berserk. A male character who DID actually fight 100 men as a part of protecting his main female love interest, Casca).
