Blush placement never feels right

45F I’m not great with makeup, but I love it.

I’ve been struggling with blush placement since I’ve gotten older. I feel like I get it high enough but it always looks too low in photos... like it’s dragging my already long face down. So I move it up and it seems to disappear into my under eye like there’s not enough real estate up there.

do you like this blush placement? is the shade ok? it feels too low and round to me. Thoughts on what would be the appropriate placement? Do I need a smaller brush maybe? I’m using the smallest I own so brush suggestions would be welcome.

I’ll take any other constructive suggestions but I can’t wear lashes or eyeliner due to severe dry eye.

Just adopted this guy

We just put our beloved 15 yr old pug to rest and I asked her to send me another pug. She delivered fast. This guy showed up online at a rescue about 10 minutes away from my house and we put in an application. We never thought we’d get approved. Surely he had several interested applicants, but we got the call that he was ours depending on the meet and greet with our other dog which went great. Our girl is a total sweetheart with other dogs. We've named him Bernie.

Today we brought Bernie to our vet to get established and the vet said he’s not 4 yrs old. I definitely had my suspicions that he was younger. He is around 2 yrs old and has some behavioral issues due to past abuse and neglect. He was only 12lbs when he was surrendered. He had some bite aggression. We will be working with a trainer after he is neutered.

Knowing he’s had such a rough start in his short life is just heartbreaking. We love him so much already and he is trying so hard to be a good boy. I just wanted to show him off to you guy first bc this is such a wonderful community. If you have any suggestions for making his new life the best ever, I’m open to all suggestions.

(Thank you, Stevie. Mommy misses you so much and I promise we will give this boy the most amazing life.)

Guilt about moving on too soon

We put our beloved pug down yesterday at 14.5 yrs old. She was blind, deaf, suffered. from dementia for the last year. It was very much time to let her go with compassion and dignity.

Today, I was approved to adopt another pug and I feel guilty.

I asked my girl to send me another pug. I thought it would take months bc I never see pugs locally. like EVER and I looked after my pug/beagle mix passed 3 years ago. I never saw any pug or even pug mixes.

Then an adorable 4 yr old pug pops up on a friend’s Facebook and she sent him to me bc I asked her to always send me a pug if she sees one bc I don’t have Facebook anymore.

We put in an application never thinking we’d get chosen bc of course tons of people want pugs and we got approved today. We‘re going to meet him tomorrow, but I feel guilty. I feel like I’ll be judged for moving on too soon and disrespecting my pug’s memory.

Is this insane thinking or am I right to feel like it’s too soon? The little guy came from neglect and I know we can give him a beautiful life. The timing is just so strange. Any input would be great. Thanks!
