Watching 'The Advocate' s9 ep17 this whole alderman storyline is pmo.

I've been annoyed with Kerry since that Chen/Malucci pager incident when she threw them under the bus to save her own ass.

It's really hypocritical of her. To think of all the times she called people out, threatened to suspend them only for her to do worse.. At least they all did it for the sake of the patient. She does it cus it's for her own benefit.

The scene where she's telling Ted Mosby to basically keep his mouth shut & take the blame so she's not exposed for malpractice in the name of protecting Alderman - she's really getting on my nerves.

Carter sort of - kind of just proposed to Abby on the roof? I didn't think they would make it this far.

Watching this episode and I can already tell a lot of people didn't like it lol.

I personally don't mind it. Starting at the end & ending at the start is a nice touch. I like when shows go for a different format every now & then to keep things interesting. Reminded me of s7 ep15 'The Crossing'.

However, it was a bit confusing. I think they could've done much better. After every flashback it took me a second to process where we were in the plot.

I think some people don't really get the point of going backwards when you already know the outcome but I like how things unravelled + we got context.

It's very misleading at first when Luka brings Harkins into the hospital but the theories are slowly debunked and we begin to understand why things ended up this way in the first place.

- Party the night before

- Carter leaving for Boston

- Luka covering his shift eventhough he's crazy hungover & running on a few hours of sleep

- Luka pissed off cus of the patient's status

- Erin needing a ride home

Oh when they flashed back to Carter handing off his patient to Luka & telling him the guy presented with influenza but he should look into it further cus something seemed off 🫣 to think all of it could've been avoided had he listened.

Overall I liked it but it needed a few adjustments.

PS. By far the most depressing, least festive Christmas episode 🫠

Why is he being such an asshole? I feel like whenever the writers are bored & remember he exists they wrote him into a total jerk, creep & weirdo. It's gross.

- telling Abby to sew some $w@st!ka on her costume so she could be a naughty n@z¡ nurse (HUH?!!)

- dismissing Chuny's sexual harassment & laughing about it

- laughing when Haleh complained of the same patient for grabbing her breasts

- When he looked at *a rightfully angry Chuny* & said "I wonder.." cus he slept with her

- Dismissing Nathan was insensitive and rude

I'm so angry & disgusted with him this episode

Does it bother anyone else that Carol never found out what Doug wrote in that letter? And that Cynthia (Mariska Hargitay) claimed it instead.

And Mark didn't connect the dots even though he gave it to Carol on Doug's behalf. He just went along with it cus Cynthia was all over him bc of it.

Also Carol didn't make that much of an effort to find it. Had she asked Cynthia, it could've been returned.

Why were Abby & Susan laughing at Carter when he revealed he'd been raped?? Gallant is the only one who seemed the least bit concerned.

I don't know if Carter realizes what happened to him was sexual assault but their reaction to it was insane.

For a bunch of doctors who deal with SA victims frequently they completely overlooked Carter. I think this is one of those double standard moments were people don't look at things as seriously when it happens to a guy instead of a girl.

I know for a fact, had it been Abby or Susan who said their first sexual experience was when they were 11 with a 25 year old guy everyone would be shocked & consoling them.

I'm actually baffled by how everyone just moved past it like it was nothing.

I was really into it & I was waiting for the big reveal that Alex Babcock, for whatever sick reason, was infecting Corday's senior patients but they turned the page before we even got one.

I only bring this up now cus she, like a true protector, pushed Babcock away from Ella after the ecstasy OD & it reminded me of the situation.

Side note: recently found out the guy who plays Alex Babcock is married to Kerry Weaver in real life

Teen Rachel has been pissing me off since she arrived. I get that she's a kid but ughsbsbnx I'm so annoyed with her. She had the temerity to keep drugs loose in her backpack where her baby sister could reach them.

I think Elizabeth is seriously starting to resent her. Can you blame her?

Mark doesn't really know what to do anymore. When Rachel apologised & hugged him, he kinda wanted to push her off. It's difficult. He doesn't want this to scar her forever but he's so angry with her.

Liz suggesting to send her to boarding school doesn't seem like such a bad idea anymore

I'm in season 8 episode 13 & Jing-Mei just told Carter he has a thing for older women & started naming them.

- Abby Keaton (the pediatric surgeon from s3)

- Kerry Weaver (which in not sure he really had a thing for)

She didn't mention these but there's also:

- Roxanne (the insurance representative played by Julie Bowen from modern family)

Can't think of anymore at the moment.

The point is he's got majorrrr mommy issues. It was in my face this whole time, how did I miss it?

(the only exception was that 19 year old who was turning 20 in September 😭)

How do we feel about the tension between Susan & Carter? Reminds me of the time he tried to kiss her all those years ago except now he's grown & she's low-key into him
