My [18m] bf [19m] texted his ex a week before asking me out. How would I move past this?
Hi guys, I need some advice, because I don’t know what to do, I feel like leaving him but I don’t know if I should.
I 18m have had a bf 19m for 2 years now and we’re currently going through a tough spot. Since the start of our relationship I’ve been struggling with insecurity over my bf and his ex. they’ve been together for 3 years before me and it was always something he would reassure me about but recently while going through his messages I found out that a week before he asked me out he was still texting his ex about getting back together, his ex said no then on our first date asked if they can get back together and that’s when my bf said no to him.
I feel betrayed by this and I’m just so confused and I don’t know what to do. He says he was just stupid and that he loves me and he’s been super apologetic. it’s been two years I guess but it’s just this was always something I felt insecure about and I just don’t know if I should stay with him or break up with him after finding out about this.
TL;DR my bf texted his ex a week before dating asking to get back together and I feel betrayed by this.
