Crossed Leg etiquette in MRT..
I witnessed this scenario recently.
- A is sitting on the seat with legs crossed.
- B is standing and trying to move around, whether to find a seat nearby or to alight the train.
B accidentally knocks into A's crossed foot. A immediately turned black face and gave the death stare, even though after B quickly apologised.
This got me quite confused. I honestly acknowledge that both can be wrong, but since B already apologised and A is still angry about it?? That is what really confused me and made me want to go back to the basic logic of this situation , who actually should feel more sorry here? For me, B apologised out of politeness, but the fault doesn't really sit with B.
Just genuinely curious what others think. I have actually been in B's position before, and I also witnessed this exact scenario as a bystander that seeing A's reaction throughout the whole thing triggered a deeper thought in me. hahaha.
Ps : I also hope this raises a little awareness. During peak hours, please just put your feet down. Tbh, your shoes are dirty, you might feel offended when getting knocked, but it's other people's clothes that end up stained. Just be considerate.
