Do you guys think Anchor Beings will be a major part of Doomsday?
I find it kind of weird that Deadpool and Wolverine set them up as this big thing, yet we really haven't gotten anything else in regards to Anchor Beings. Kinda makes me wonder if the MCU ever actually planned anything for them.
While rewatching the second trailer, I thought about Doom saying "You have all lived stolen lives" and I think I might have an interesting theory.
I think Doom is envious of the lives that the others have lived. A sense of jealousy, anger, and longing. We know that Doom had a wife and child only to lose them.
When he mentions them living "Stolen Lives", we see Johnny and Franklin, Charles, Magento, Steve and his son, Thor and his daughter, Loki, Shuri, and Cyclops. What if the "Stolen lives" line is referring to them living lives they're not supposed to.
In Loki season 1, Renslayer says that Loki wasn't supposed to escape the way he did in "Endgame".
Maybe Steve wasn't supposed to stay in the past with Peggy.
Or that Shuri wasn't supposed to become the Black Panther, because they had to change the the second movie due to Chadwick Boseman's passing.
Maybr Thor wasn't supposed to have a daughter.
In "Fantastic Four First Steps" Sue died after beating Galactus, only to be brought back by Franklin.
The X-Men might be harder since the Fox universe is already messy in it's timelines. But maybe "Days of Future Past" wasn't supposed to happen. Maybe they weren't meant to change the timeline.
What I'm saying is that all the characters shown during the "Stolen Lives" moment had their fates changed. Maybe Doom comes to this realization, thinking to himself "Why? Why do they get their happy endings, when mine was taken away? Why do they get second chances?"
So maybe in his mind, he's trying to set things right.
