My Rant and Advise
I have always looked at other similar posts and said "never happened to me" and continued shopping on Flipkart. Well it finally happened to me.
Open-box-verification parcel arrived, but open box verification was never done by eKart.
Product quality is not good, brand name not visible on product and color also different from what was shown.
Filed return request next day, eKart delivery boy rejected pickup because "brand name not visible on product". Duh.
No way to contact Flipkart about this disappointment, in help and support there is no contact number or email, only a useless chat option with 3 pre-determined responses. It only increased my frustration.
Filed return request again, this time eKart message arrived "we are unable to pick up your order today because of unforeseen circumstance, we will attempt pickup again in 24-48 hours", although on Flipkart return request is "cancelled". WTF.
For the third time, filed a return request, this time with a different category attaching all sorts of product images. But again Flipkart cancelled the request saying "we tried reaching out to you, but couldn't". There was no email/missed call or any attempt of communication from Flipkart side. And my frustration reached the peak.
Today is the last day for returning the product, although I have given up mostly, I have still filed the fourth and last return request.
I don't think they will let me return, but even if they do I am never shopping with Flipkart again until they improve their support. I know now that my money is not safe with them, and I can be scammed anytime.
I have had a similar experience on Amazon as well, but their support (actual humans) stepped up and helped me out.
So I will be boycotting Flipkart from now even if it costs me more, and advise you to do the same.
