Constant vocalizations

Hi,

One of my hens has begun to constantly make noise, it’s not a cluck, kind of an insistent yodeling is the best description I can think of. I’m not sure which one, yet, and it could be more than one but I only ever hear one at a time.

There are six of them. This group has been together around 8 months. They have a 10X10 ft modified kennel for a coop/run and they spend most of the daylight hours outside of that in a big, fenced yard. They have lots of plants and dirt to dig up and stuff to get into and play with. I don’t think she’s bored because I hear it when they are out in the yard as much as when they are in their coop/run.

Is constant noise a sign of a health issue? Or has she just developed an unfortunate habit? I’m mostly worried that the neighbors will complain, but it’s starting to drive me nuts as well.

What should I look for if it’s a health issue, and if it’s just a bad habit, is there anything I can do to change it?

Thanks
