Help?

I will soon be purchasing the fiio m21 dap as well as the simgot ew300. I’m looking to find what headphone “tunings” work for me. So if the ew300 is more warm and bass forward, what other iems under $140 USD would be the exact opposite? bright and lean on bass im assuming. And is there any better warm bass forward iems besides the ew300 within this price point?

(would appreciate if you didn’t recommend if you don’t own or haven’t tried them 🙏)

“best” dap under $500

im looking to buy my first dap and am around the $-500 mark, i’ve been looking at the m21 and the only reason i haven’t pulled the trigger is the reviews i’ve found with people having overheating, screen and battery issues. I also haven’t seen anyone talking GOOD about the audio, just “good for the price”. Before looking at the M21 i was looking at shanking m1+ and that is a dap everyone says sounds good, but i have also found people saying that the m21 sounds way better. So im left with no real sense of direction, do i just buy the m21 and some nice iems, or buy something at a similar price point from shanling? I’m mostly looking for:

  1. something i could potentially stream on (but i wouldnt mind loading songs onto it instead)
  2. eq or peq just to mess with it and see what i like about the audio
  3. decent battery life
  4. good sound quality!!! i’ve been getting into rock lately and i listen to lots of music in spanish like love songs, rap, rock/pop rock in which i want to really feel the vocals of these great singers and get the most of every instrument and word in these songs.

( i was also checking out the hiby r6iii but i’ve seen reviews on amazon with the battery blowing up and pushing the screen out of the housing so it kinda turned me off)
