Issues Walking

I had a cut in this area of my foot that was very small. I think it may have been a bit of glass. I got X-rays and nothing showed up so I assumed nothing went in.
9months later I am limping and I feel nerve pain. Not sure if a tiny cut could be a reason for shingles to start in the area but I am finding this really overwhelming and confusing. I don’t know if there is glass in there or just a shingles flare. Having issues walking is sending me into such a slump. I’ve been on MM 6 Years but I am still healing regular EBV throat flares. I hope it’s just shingles and not glass in there. Anyone got any thoughts or experience? The cut may have hit the nerve directly and allowed viruses to take hold

Nerve Issue or Foreign Body

Back 9 months ago, I felt a sharp pain as I went to put my shoes on. I thought it must have been glass but didn’t see anything. There was a small narrow cut along the outer edge of my foot where the sural nerve is. I went to get an X-ray to rule out foreign body and they didn’t see anything. Nine months late I still cannot wear normal trainers only Ugg boots and I am limping every day. The area is uncomfortable and slightly red and raised in the centre of the foot but not super painful. I have had scans come back negative for foreign bodies. It’s driving me nuts as I am now in bed most days and don’t really know what to do about it. I’m so scared and confused as to how such a tiny 3-4mm cut could cause such harm and stress and walking issues. I altered my gait to avoid uncomfortable pressure on the side of the foot and UGG boots while helpful probably also make things worse in some ways.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I have circled where the inflammation and pain and cut are.
