I remember specific sounds attached to the battle that was about to ensue. Do you?
I learned today that "discriminatory hearing" is a classic, documented symptom of childhood domestic warfare. I remember my mother's heels being one of the alarms for me to know that my beatings were about to start. Another sound was the drawer from where she retrieved the wooden ladle. Does anyone else experienced something similar?
