Anti-Convergence: On the Right to Remain a Person in the Age of Systems
Although I published my work a month and a half ago, I still feel like I just pushed that publish button yesterday. To be fair, I put off plans for marketing until I’m completely finished with the book, because I know I’m the kind of person who can only focus on one thing at a time in order to do it well. And the fact that the philosophy of my book resists being commercialized for promotion.
So here I am, finally out of the “author writing a book” zone and into a “marketer/promoter” role.
The title sounds very serious but the content should be pretty easy to read, although not necessarily easy to digest. It’s erring in the narrative nonfiction side that’s 75% narrative/speculative fiction style, with the rest more “thought-book” style. I’m personally a fan of Sapiens, and I was hoping readers who enjoy Sapiens would also find my book intriguing.
It’s a book about what we might be losing as humans as the “systems” of society progresses increasingly rapidly, particularly with the advancement of AI. It follows 4 unnamed characters through snippets of their lives and speculative futures, and the whole book is designed to be a journey for readers rather than an argument to be proven. It’s pretty short, maybe 3ish hours for slightly faster readers with just less of 200 pages of Amazon print length.
If something like this sounds like an interesting read to you, you can find the book here on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GC7M2HVW
It’s not on Kindle Unlimited because I’m preparing to publish on multiple platforms. If you are on a budget, I’m also sending out free ARC copies :)
