Over sizing filter area, flow direction, other... your suggestions

I'm going with Organic pools design run on solar powered air pumps.

The overall surface area is about 6.5m x 8m. I have the swim zone designed at just under 50%. I'm aware it's comparadibly small and wonder if I should adjust, shrink, the swim area. I live in a climate that last winter received over half a meter of ice.

The swim zone walls will be just over 1m, using form-a-drain foothings. I'll be using underlayment / liner, Pex-A, and an abandoned fieldstone foundation as the base perimeter.

I'd like to install redundancies, some integrated into the initial build, others for expansion. The option to switch the flow direction (down/ up through the medium) via extra stones and hoses and an expandable regeneration zone via a series of sunken 250 gallon totes (possible additional bog or other filters), are in the current design.

Things I have yet to find resources on:

Integrated air root beds.

Hydrolic ram pumps (submerged)

Over planting the regen zone.

Mom's "final wishes" to a lawyer

Location: Florida, Connecticut

My mother passed away at her home in Florida. She had a will created by a Florida bar certified lawyer. She told my cousin, a Connecticut certified lawyer, her "final wishes" when he recently visited her. She was in mental decline at the time. The wishs involved her funeral, to occur in Connecticut. I don't believe she formally hired him. I consider him trustworthy. Her wishes involve an elaborate ceremony, celebration, with lots in attendance.

My sibling and I want a private, immediate family only, ceremony. We want a closure befitting of an abuser, which our mother was, despite there being no legal documentation. Saving money from her funeral and ceremony to recoup via her estate's dispersal is not of any interest to us. My sibling, cousin, and I are not financially motivated.

Are "final wishes" legally binding? Does the state part matter? What other aspects should I ask about or know before speaking with my cousin?

ed: my question has been answered with state specific terms that I will use when reaching out to my mother's Fl attorney. Thank you everyone for the help.
