Bandit is 10 and has been drinking and peeing A LOT more than usual. We couldn't even go out for 2 hours and he peed twice, usually he could hold it. At night, 3 times.

I was so unsure about running to the vet because i didn't want to be that person that takes him there for things that could be nothing, but to the vet we went. He has diabetes.

So, my message to everyone who needs this, if something not normal is happening, it is better to laugh at another bill over something stupid then miss something important. Doc said he was so glad I came in because so many people come in too late to prevent other stuff from happening. I have to give him 2 shots a day and I DO NOT DO NEEDLES. He said, "You got this. You're a good mom. I will show you how to do shots."

And I did it! I gave him a shot this evening and it was easy!

Now the hard part, not having any treats in between meals. He's going to hate me for a minute.

My husband has cancer. Very, very early, treatable and he'll be fine. However, this is what Bandit does now. He's on him all the time when he gets home. He licks his toes for like 5 minutes straight if he's barefoot. I read somewhere that dogs can smell cancer. Do you think that's true? I feel so bad for him because I think he's worrying. He sleeps way more than usual and just won't leave his side, which is pretty cool. But I wish I could tell him it's going to be alright.
