Heartbroken - RIP 2015 Beloved RX. Need tips for 2020-2022 RX. Lexus Loyal!
She was amazing. 2015 RX loaded. Beautiful and perfect performance all the way up to 113,000 miles - and I planned to drive her until the wheels fell off, just like I did the 1999 RX I had before her. Then, freeway crash and the dreaded words, "total loss." Thankfully, the car did exactly what it was supposed to do - crumpled up, took the hit and bith my daughter and I walked away. Crazy to think I feel so emotional about it, but I will truly miss that car. :(
So, now I'm looking for my next true love. I think the sweet spot for me this time is going to be 2020-2022 RX.
What do I need to know about this segment of the RXs?
- Reasons to choose 2022 vs. 2021 vs. 2020? What should I know?
- Any known issues at certain mileage thresholds?
- I like a pretty loaded car, but any features that haven't turned out to be worth it over time?
- Certified or not? Obviously, not much warranty left for 2020-2022 unless I go certified. Have done those 3x in a row, but this was an unexpected re-up, so I might cross my fingers and make the non-certified leap. Would love thoughts on that, too.
- I *might* go hybrid, but not sure I drive enough to make it pencil out. Thoughts?
I would really appreciate the insight and help. (PS: I'm in Southern CA) THANK YOU!
