How does the toilet know when to stop filling with water after a flush, and what actually prevents it from overflowing if the drain is blocked?

I know this is a basic question, but I’ve been doing some home repairs lately and realized I have absolutely no idea how a toilet manages its water level. Is there just a electric sensor? What happens if that fails? How does the toilet know to flush? Is the water that sits in the tank actually the same 'clean' water that comes out of my kitchen sink? I feel like I should know this by now, but I've never actually looked into the tank.

Advice needed please

Hi, I have been using some cheaper COC style grippers for a few months now. I progressed to using the 2.5 equivalent for a few reps. I want to start acually trying to train my grip instead of just messing around with my grippers when I want. Where do I start? What other equipment is useful? Any advice will be appreciated. I am very new to this form of training but im really enjoying it so far.

What is the actual etiquette for wearing shoes inside someone else’s house. Is it objectively rude to ask guests to take them off, or is it rude for the guest to refuse?

I’ve realized there is a massive divide in how people handle the shoes off question. Some people think it’s a non-negotiable health/cleanliness rule and feel disrespected if you don’t, while others think it’s a huge invasion of privacy to make guests walk around in their socks or barefoot.

Is there a universal etiquette rule here, or is this just a deep cultural disconnect that we’re all just guessing at? I’m genuinely curious which side is considered the standard in most modern households, as it seems to be a constant source of friction. Personally I'm a shoes on pants off kind of guy.

If a passenger unfortunately passes away during a international flight, what is the actual protocol for the rest of the trip?

I've heard many different urban legends about this but never a straight answer. Is there actually a designated storage area for a body on a commercial plane, or is the reality more practical and grim? I’m genuinely curious about the logistical, legal, and sanitary protocols an airline has to follow when they’re stuck over the ocean with a deceased passenger.

Why does seeing the typing indicator in messaging apps cause anxiety, and is there a psychological term for it?

I've noticed that whenever I see the "typing..." bubble in a chat, it makes me feel on edge while waiting for the message to actually appear. I know it's illogical, but I’m curious if there is a specific psychological reason why that indicator triggers stress. Is it a known phenomenon in modern communication, or is it just a bad habit we’ve developed because of how we use our phones?

Dark Magician Of Chaos

Hey guys, I’ve been going through some old cards and found this Dark Magician of Chaos (IOC-AE065). I’m honestly not super sure what the value is for this specific version, can't find much info online.

I’ve uploaded some photos of the front and back so you can see the condition. If anyone has some knowledge on these or a rough idea of what it’s worth, I’d really appreciate the help!
