Got the COC #2.5 to full close

3 weeks into training grippers I have closed the COC #2.5 5 times today, 154LBS bodyweight, 5:10 7 inch hand, 25 years old. I have never progressed so fast in any other strength aspect as fast as I’ve improved on grippers. I really hope I can get the #3 soon!

Dyno GD 200 PR success

154 pounds Bodyweight 5:10 height. 12 weeks out from a chest surgery, note light leg graze is just the Dyno poking my baggy pants and is not increasing the result.

Teach me your forearm training secrets!

I come from calisthenics - doing pull-ups, push-ups, dips and that kind of thing. But recently I went climbing for the 2nd time ever and that was a humbling experience. Or rather, the next 3 days were, because my forearms were so unbelievably sore it hurt to push my hands together to wash them.

As such, I would really like to work on my forearms, grip, etc. For climbing, but also just to aid me in my life generally.

I was wondering: is rice bucket training (18kg in a 22L box or so) actually meaningful? Or is it not that useful? I remember it being hyped a few years ago but I have absolutely no idea if it actually holds up.

Do let me know if you have any other tips or techniques!

(Atm i've added some exercises to my calisthenics routine already -

  • 25kg each arm farmer's walk
  • wrist curls
  • holding a chin-up half way through the movement in a hang seems to load my forearms nicely)

THANKS!!

Small wrists — does it actually matter for lifting?

Been lifting for a while now and everything is growing except my wrists I know they're mostly bone so nothing's really changing there. Just wondering, does wrist size actually affect how much you can lift or grip strength? And are there any forearm exercises that make the area above the wrist look thicker? Feels like a small thing but it genuinely bothers me sometimes.

Ripping open a can of beer

No background in grip training whatsoever, just wanted to know how strong my grip was by testing it on something.

Let me know what you guys think.

Hows this grip for a beginner 🤡?

I have been hitting the gym consistently for 6 months now and i realized i love working out my forearms and grip strength more than anything. I do love holding smooth plates and standing still till i can't hold them. I wanted to know where i stand. Feel free to roast me to perfection. I also added this weird excersise to my routine where i pick the Dumbell up from the bulbous end without chalk and try to get them on the lower rack. Went from 30 kgs to 40 in a month. Ik it looks stupid cause it probably is but i have fun doing it.

I have a stupid question about hand grips.

Hope it's the right tag. I got a pair of hand grip things but they're medium strength, which is too high for me. I have to use both hands to mostly close it. My question is, can I just use that pair and build up to being able to one hand them? or should I find a lower strength pair? I know this is the point while building muscle, but it hurts my hands to use.
