These puppies are ready to go on adventures with you! Meet Wallace and Gromit! (Available for adoption at the East County Animal Shelter in Dublin)

Update (6/30): Wallace and Gromit have been pulled by a rescue! 🎉 I will aim to update this comment and post with where they are once that information is available

Wallace (Animal ID: 90161) and Gromit (Animal ID: 90160) arrived at the East County Animal Shelter (ECAS) about a week ago. Wallace is larger, with brindle colors and Gromit is smaller and wire haired with a small snout and white chest.

These boys are sweet, silly terrier-mix puppies and are approximately 2 months old. Wallace is a happy, easy going little guy-- he loves to play but is just as happy snuggling with his volunteer friends. Gromit is a little firecracker with lots of energy and spunk! He also loves to spend time with his human friends but he'd just as soon bounce around and wrestle with his brother. Both boys are excited to see other dogs and visitors to the ward. Wallace and Gromit get along well and would do fine living alone as well as with other dogs.

Since they are puppies, Wallace and Gromit will require patience as they get trained and learn the rules of their new households (they are still babies after all).

If you are looking for loveable, wiggly puppies that are excited to learn new things-- come and meet Wallace and Gromit!

Wallace is about 9 lbs and Gromit is about 6 lbs and they will likely grow to be small-medium sized dogs. They have already been started on their vaccinations, and they will be neutered and microchipped before they go to their new home(s)! Wallace and Gromit are located in kennel A-8.

If you'd like to come visit, ECAS is open daily from 11:30 to 5:30, and ECAS is located at 4595 Gleason Drive in Dublin, CA.

Spritz is ready to become your shadow! (Available to meet and adopt at the West Dublin PetSmart Saturday June 27 from 10 to 1 pm!)

Meet Spritz!

Spritz is one of two puppy siblings that arrived at the East County Animal Shelter (ECAS) in late May. He was pulled by Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) and currently resides in a foster home.

Spritz is a very sweet mixed breed puppy and is 4 to 5 months old. You may remember a recent post about his sister Pimm. We call them siblings since they were found together, but he is very different from her in both appearance and personality. Appearance-wise, he appears to be a terrier-mix (he could be part cattle dog; we guessed that Pimm was a cattle dog-mix). Personality-wise, Spritz is still learning how to be a confident dog.

In his foster home, Spritz loves to play and cuddle with his human friends. He got along well with his sister and would do fine as an only as well as with other dogs that could teach him the ropes. Since Spritz is a puppy, he will require patience as he gets trained and learns the rules of the household (he is still a baby after all). This is especially important since we believe Spritz will thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with patient owners that are dedicated to showing him that the world isn't such a scary place.

If you are looking for a loveable, wiggly puppy who is excited to learn new things-- you can meet Spritz on Saturdays at the West Dublin PetSmart! The next TVAR adoption event is this Saturday June 27, 3026 from 10 am to 1 pm.

West Dublin PetSmart
6960 Amador Plaza Rd
Dublin, 94568

Spritz is about 17 lbs and will likely grow to be a medium-sized dog. He has already been started on his vaccinations, and he has already been neutered and microchipped.

Meet Forrest!

Forrest is one of two puppy siblings that arrived at the East County Animal Shelter (ECAS) in late May. His sister (Jenny) has been adopted-- now it is Forrest's turn!

Forrest is a sweet, silly mixed breed puppy and is approximately 5 months old. Forrest is a happy little guy-- he loves to play but is just as happy snuggling with his volunteer friends. Although he can be very excited to spend time with his human friends, he is a polite boy and already knows how to sit nicely while waiting to get attention. He is happy to see other dogs and visitors to the ward. He got along with his sister before arriving at the shelter and would do fine living alone as well as with other dogs.

Since Forrest is a puppy, he will require patience as he gets trained and learns the rules of the household (he is still a baby after all). Forrest will make every day fun for his new family

Matilda wants to bring magic to your life! (Available for adoption in the California Bay Area)

Matilda is looking for a new person or family to share walks and playtime and cuddles with! Matilda appears to be a cattle dog mix. She is great on leash and attentive to her handlers. She is a calm and quiet girl, who is neat and tidy in her kennel too.

Matilda has shown a bit of desire to chase squirrels and bunnies that she sees in the play yards, so a home without cats might be best, but she may be open to living with a new dog friend, provided it's a good match. Potential adopters with existing dogs will be asked to bring them to meet her too, prior to adoption.

Matilda was brought to the East County Animal Shelter on 4/8/26 after being found in unincorporated Hayward (Hayward Acres). She is approximately 2 years old, and weighs just over 70 pounds. She has been vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped, so she's all ready to go home right away!

Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). Her spay surgery has been sponsored!

If you are looking for a smart and gorgeous dog (and don't mind that she may be picky about the treats she's given 😂), come and meet Matilda!

If you'd like to come visit, ECAS is open daily from 11:30 to 5:30, and ECAS is located at 4595 Gleason Drive in Dublin, CA.

Pimm is ready to become your partner in mischief! (Available for adoption in Dublin)

Meet Pimm!

Pimm is one of two puppy siblings that arrived at the East County Animal Shelter (ECAS) in late May. Her brother (Spritz) has been adopted-- now it is Pimm's turn!

Pimm is a very sweet mixed breed puppy and is 3 to 4 months old. Our best guess is that she is a cattle dog-terrier mix.

Pimm is a balanced puppy-- she loves to play but is just as happy snuggling with her volunteer friends. She is smart as a whip and already knows how to sit nicely (sometimes without us even asking!). She is happy to see other dogs and visitors to the ward and sits patiently watching potential future friends. She played well with her brother and would do fine living alone as well as with other dogs. Since Pimm is a puppy, she will require patience as she gets trained and learns the rules of the household (she is still a baby after all). Pimm will make a wonderful companion

If you are looking for a loveable, wiggly puppy who is excited to learn new things-- come and meet Pimm!

Pimm is about 15 lbs and will likely grow to be a medium-sized dog. She has already been started on her vaccinations, and she will be spayed and microchipped before she goes to her new home! Pimm is located in kennel C-2.

If you'd like to come visit, ECAS is open daily from 11:30 to 5:30, and ECAS is located at 4595 Gleason Drive in Dublin, CA.

Theodore is ready to find his loving home! Will it be with you? (Bay Areas, California)

Meet Theodore!

Theodore is one of three puppy brothers that arrived at the East County Animal Shelter (ECAS) in early May. His brothers (Alvin and Simon) have been adopted-- Theo was also adopted, but was soon returned as his owners did not have time for him.

Theodore is a very sweet mixed breed puppy and is approximately 3 months old. Our best guess is that he is a cattle dog-pit mix. Theo was the more shy and submissive one of his brothers, but he has become much more confident with time! Theo is a pretty balanced puppy-- he loves to play but is just as happy snuggling with his volunteer friends. He is smart and observant; he has already learned to sit nicely and knows how to play gently. He watches other dogs and visitors to the ward with quiet interest. He played well with his brothers and would do fine living alone as well as with other dogs. Since Theo is a puppy, he will require patience as he gets trained and learns the rules of the household (he is still a baby after all).

If you are looking for a loveable, wiggly puppy who is excited to learn new things-- come and meet Theodore!

Theo has already been started on his vaccinations, is neutered and microchipped and is ready to go to his new home! Theodore is located in kennel D-1.

If you'd like to come visit, ECAS is open daily from 11:30 to 5:30, and ECAS is located at 4595 Gleason Drive in Dublin, CA.

Meet silly boy Sosa! (Available for adoption in the Bay Area, California)

Everybody loves Sosa! He is a fun, happy, handsome pup, with an adorable heart on his nose, and an overbite that makes his tongue stick out sometimes. Indoors Sosa is clean and quiet in his kennel, a perfect guest! Outdoors he loves to go for walks, play with stuffy toys, and chase tennis balls, which he so politely gives back to you to throw again. He may be open to living with another, well-matched dog too, but would probably do best in a home without cats or small animals (he has shown interest in chasing the squirrels near the play yards). If you are interested in meeting Sosa, we encourage you to come visit! If you already have another dog at home, please bring them to meet him too, prior to adoption.

Sosa was surrendered to the shelter on 2/21/26, when his previous owner became unhoused. He is approximately 2 1/2 years old, and he currently weighs about 73 pounds. He has been vaccinated, neutered, and micro-chipped, so he’s all ready to go home right away!

His adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). His neuter surgery has been sponsored!

You can meet Sosa at the East County Animal Shelter (ECAS) in Dublin, CA! If you'd like to come visit, ECAS is open daily from 11:30 to 5:30, and ECAS is located at 4595 Gleason Drive.

Can you help Alana find her loving new home? (Bay Area, California)

Alana is the East County Animal Shelter (ECAS)'s longest term dog, and though she's "holding up" okay so far, ECAS staff and Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) volunteers would really love to see her find her new person soon!

Alana is a quiet, more reserved pup, but she is a sweet girl, and all she wants is to love and be loved! In her kennel she is clean and quiet and is usually on her bed, curled up in her blanket, just waiting for someone to notice her. When she's outside to play, she enjoys a walk or some zoomies, but settles down quickly for some belly rubs and cuddle time. She is a medium energy dog, and due to her own quiet nature, would probably thrive in a quieter home!

Alana seems to prefer human companionship over sharing her space with other dogs. She doesn't go out of her way to cause trouble with other dogs, she just seems to not want to share her personal space with them. When she first arrived at our shelter, she had wounds on her face and legs, probably from another dog, and this might be why she now prefers people.

If you're looking for a new devoted best friend, Alana would love a chance to meet you!

Alana is approximately four years old, and currently weighs just over 50 pounds. She has been vaccinated, and will be spayed and chipped before going home with you! The cost of her spay surgery will be sponsored!

If you'd like to come visit, ECAS is open daily from 11:30 to 5:30, and ECAS is located at 4595 Gleason Drive in Dublin, CA.

*Please check the link for Alana's TVAR profile which includes more pictures and videos!*
