Oil recommendation

Has anyone tried lamp oil or Pressol precision oil? Or do you have any other recommendations for a really thin oil? So far I have used paraffin oil with a viscosity of probably between 15 and 25 cSt and I feel it's a bit sticky so I'm looking for something lighter than that. It will be used for both squish plates and petri dish. (Yes thicker oils could be fun too but I'm not looking for that this time)

Oil sticking to plate

I'm using squish plates and I haven't had this problem before with them. Most other people who have had this problem have added only water and no iso. That's not my problem cause I add only iso and no water.

My set up is: a quick freshen up with alcohol wipes, add iso, add watercolor, add premixed paraffin oil and oil dye, give it a little stir and add top plate. Last couple of times the oil has gotten stuck in place to the bottom plate, from the beginning when I start to squish, during the show.

I read a little about people sandpaper their plates, that sounds super scary. Also not sure if that's the problem since it was fine when i first got the plates. Yes I clean them properly (dishsoap), but I have left the stuff on the plates overnight a couple of times before cleaning them.

Getting a little stressed cause I'm performing this weekend (nothing serious) and I don't want this to happen, even though it looks a bit cool anyways.

Any ideas?

Fireproofing synthetic

Yes I know i should dance in natural fabrics but I have a top I'm obsessed with and it happens to be made out of polyester. It will be palm torches so a quite controlled dance but yeah I'll still be playing with fire.

Does anyone have any experience with fireproofing fabrics? Could it be enough to soak it in water? Is there any environmental friendly stuff I can spray on? Can I smear a layer of lanolin on top of it?

The material is quite compact, not like a fleece, and its tight to the body. Easy to take off also, just a zipper and it will fall off.

Phone camera setup

I have started doing liquid light shows with ligh table + phone + projector. I am live sending the camera screen to the projector but then I get other stuff projected too, like the red play/pause button. How can I solve this? I tried to put a "frame" at the end of the projector but that created a lot of blur. Is there any camera apps that can hide the different camera settings?

So far I have only practiced at home but during the summer I will do LLS at forest partys. I do find OH projectors more charming but then I need to think about where I will be placed and a digital setup will give me more freedom.

Also I feel I worded this weirdly, sorry, english is not my first language.
