Old Mattamy floor plans? (Hawthorne Village)

Has anyone renovating an older Mattamy home in Milton been able to get the original builder floor plans?

I'm looking for plans from the early 2000s, but I can't seem to find them anywhere on the web. I've reached out to Mattamy's sales office but haven't heard back yet.

I'm curious whether Mattamy keeps an archive, or if anyone has had success tracking down old floor plans or brochures another way.

EDIT: Heard back from Mattamy and for anyone who's curious: because of the age of the home, they no longer have the original floor plans, brochures, or model documents on file.

Anyone Purchased a Major Fixer-Upper Recently? How Did You Finance It?

Hi folks,

I'm considering a bank-owned detached home in Ontario that requires a gut reno.

I have the down payment and renovation budget available, but I'm trying to understand what financing structures people have successfully used for properties that aren't in typical move-in-ready condition.

For anyone who has purchased a severely distressed property in Ontario:

• What type of financing did you use (B lender, private lender, construction financing, renovation financing, etc.)?
• Which institutions were willing to work with a property requiring significant renovation?
• Were there any major challenges or surprises during the financing process?
• How difficult was it to transition to conventional financing once the work was completed?
• If you were doing it again, would you take the same approach?

I'm trying to understand what financing paths are realistic for a project like this and what pitfalls to watch out for.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Wonderland Pricing Breakdown (June 20)

I found it surprisingly difficult to figure out the most cost-effective way for a group of 8 to visit Wonderland this weekend, so I thought I'd share the season pass pricing that was available at the gate on June 20 (see attached screenshot).

Depending on your group size and how many times you plan to visit (we wanted to visit only once this year), it may be cheaper to buy a Silver Pass and a few Bring-a-Friend tickets than to buy regular admission tickets or memberships.

A few other notes:

• If you buy a season pass, you can purchase Bring-a-Friend tickets right away. They're currently $19.99 each through June 30.

• Check your workplace perks before buying. I was able to get a discounted ticket through my partner's workplace for $44.50, plus a lower processing fee and tax. Some workplace discounts may beat the CAA or Costco offers.

• Several alumni discounts (e.g., York University, Western University) were unavailable when we purchased.

Hopefully this helps someone!
