Hey yall, as summer is coming up and school is ending I was thinking of ways to keep busy. I’ve always wanted to be in a band and perform at small venues like restaurants but I’ve never had a group of friends that were into music. For now I think the genre would be punk rock. I am a female singer but don’t play instruments that well, if anyone can play instruments give me a dm and we can maybe arrange a teen garage band?

Anyone move from Burlington to Milton? Looking for honest pros/cons.

We love Burlington and live close to everything, but it’s gotten too expensive, so we’re looking at newer builds in Milton.

My main concern is Milton feeling less developed — stores and shopping. We have young kids (under 8), so schools, diversity, and family life matter too. Also worried about changing schools and making new friends.

Has anyone moved from Burlington or another city to Milton? Happy with the move? Any regrets? Pros/cons?

Hi everyone! I’m looking for experiences and feedback on the schools above. We’re moving to Clarke neighborhood this summer, and I’m trying to decide which school would be the best fit for my kids. They’re currently in FI, but the house we’re considering is close to Bruce Trail.

Also, if anyone’s kids take the bus to these schools, how has your experience been? Is the bus ride well organized and safe for kids? Have you heard of or experienced any bullying issues during busing? ( That’s really my concern as there will be no teachers riding with the kids)

As a Milton resident, I really enjoy visiting the parks and conservation areas managed by Conservation Halton. They’re one of the best parts of living here.

However, I was disappointed to learn that there isn’t much fee advantage for Milton residents, especially for families who visit regularly.

I was wondering if there are others here who would be interested in sharing an annual membership pass together.

From what I understand, the pass itself is not tied to a specific license plate, so different members can use it just not at the exact same time. The annual membership is around $186, so if a few people join in, the cost per person becomes very reasonable.

If there’s enough interest, we can create a small group to coordinate usage respectfully and fairly.

I'm a first-time cat owner, so I worry a lot :) We had our first vaccinations done at James Snow Animal Hospital, but I cannot say that I am satisfied with their services. They offered to trim her nails once and cut too much, to the point of bleeding. They are adding consulting fees randomly. They are also always bad with time management. So I have mixed feelings. The shots were done well, and the doctor seems okay, but I am not sure that I can trust them with something this serious.

Any suggestions?

Hi Milton ND parents, our child will be joining Escarpment this year for JK and has high functioning ASD. What has your experience generally been at the school with ND kids ? We are anxious if 25+ class size will be too much for our child and are looking into private options too (Vianney, Oakwood)
