Accurate castle-planning?

What would you include inside your castle compound, with what is currently available in the game?

Apart from the keep, in the upper bailey I put a well, the manor hall, the tax offices, some stables.

In the lower bailey, another well, a granary, two or three burgages with chicken coops and pigs, and one blacksmith-burgage.

No ditch or moat currently available sadly, I thought of putting corpses pit in front of my walls by I end up using the terrain like that depression in front of my walls.

What would you add or subtrack?

History-accurate city walls?

I’ve reached 600 inhabitants in my main town, mostly lvl4 burgages, 9 farms and running smoothly.

As I can’t really destroy 50% of my buildings to circle the peninsula in walls, I’ve envisioned a great feat of circling my city from the outside, other regions included.
With fortified bridges and gates at four points.

Looks a bit like Constantinople and the Golden Horn.
What would you change to be as historically accurate as possible?

The inconsistent Lvl4 burgage size is ruining my Kuttenberg…

I really like this game and the latest updates, but the way the lvl4 burgage plots have four different looks which are a bit random is baffling me.
Each supposedly has 3 families inside!
That and the houses’ orientation change completely when you go from Lvl3 to Lvl4. You never really know if your Grote Markt is gonna get ruined :(

Miller simply won’t make rye flour

My Lords, I had a bountiful harvest and my granaries are full of rye and wheat, but my millers keep wanting to just make wheat flour up until there is no grain left, while I would like my two mills to each specialise.

I’ve tried tinkering with the advanced parameter of one of them, but it applies automatically to the other one as well, defeating the purpose.

Why can’t I have my two grain needs met, damn millers !

Edit : The grains are already threshed, of course, I made sure of it.

How to move a market and two full granary and warehouse without exposing everything to rain?

I would like to move my granary and warehouse, which are nearly full, and the market, to a less crowded and more central area of my town.

Should I build two new granaries and warehouses, disable the market stalls and wait for everything to move to the new ones gradually?
What about the existing market stalls?

I have plenty of Pork and Salt, how can I have my butchers producing a steady supply of sausages: if I disable Pork in the granary, wouldn’t my butchers spend their time going to each burgage to collect the precious meat? But if I don’t disable it, the granary workers will keep selling the meat directly in their market stalls.

What should I do?
