[MD] Performance Bonus in May, PIP in July.

[MD] I was performing very well from January to May after having a rocky start with a high turnover boss. On my previous contract I was a high performer, struggled my first month on this contract then turned it around.

In May a mistake happened on my watch that fortunately didn’t cost our customer any time or money but was a violation of a process we had in place. This was a lack of understanding the process on my part. I was given a coaching memo that focused scheduling errors, deliverable errors and following the process.

FF I’m now on the PIP. During the coaching memo I extensively asked for feedback on my deliverables and was ignored. I was attacked for trying to schedule calls with my manager and have been struggling. I announced my partners pregnancy to my manager and since then the intensity and isolation feels more intensified. I’m not sure HR knows that I’m having a baby and didn’t tell them but plan to Tuesday that I did tell her in early June. She mentioned that I should reach out to HR for support since I mentioned the complications of the pregnancy however I feel it’s too late considering I’m already on the PIP and I didn’t tell her in writing.

I was brought into a meeting 10 minutes beforehand to be alerted about the PIP.

I haven’t signed yet and did not review it right then and there. The next day I sent a document and didn’t adhere to the PIP requirements and provide a QA quality checklist that are expected with each deliverable. I also had a formatting error on a near perfect document. My PIP says I need to have 0 errors for the entire month. How strongly will this impact me at the 30 and 60 day mark? And am I already finished?

Got PIP’d on July 2nd, didn’t adhere to requirements July 3rd

Messed up the PIP on day one.

Sent an email to my boss of a document she requested. She laid out in the PIP I need to send her a QA checklist and forgot to send it. Hoping I can send it early Monday morning but wondering if I’m gonna be gone by then.

I also made an error with the table of contents. To be fair I’m paralyzed with fear.

On my last contract same company was a superstar now I’m out the door. Even 2 months ago she gave me a performance bonus. I’m confused as hell.
