Was this email real or fake?

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I received an email stating that I was selected to complete a few more steps as part of the client advisor role recruitment process. In the email, the recruiter asked me to forward a recent copy of my resume, and sign mobility forms. Those forms consisted of questions regarding any certifications I hold in finance (CSC, IFIC…) and my ability to commute to any branches in the GTA.

Is this a legit email that is apart of recruiting process that will to a potential interview, or is this a scam?

I look forward to hearing from everyone!

Did I get the job?

Hey everyone,

2-weeks ago, I interviewed for a role for fall 2026. At the end of the interview, I was told that I would hear by last-week Wednesday if I got the job or not. However, I didn’t receive an update by then, so I followed up and was told that I would hear back by today. I haven’t received an email and the workday is over. Is this a good sign? Did I get selected for the position? If not, should I follow up tomorrow?

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from everyone!

Interview, RBC Insurance + Poor GPA

Hey Everyone, I hope everyone is well.

Recently, I was contacted and told that I have an interview at RBC Insurance as a Sales Operations Support Advisor. This is my first professional interview in corporate, so I’m not really sure what to expect. If anyone has any tips, or is willing to share potential questions the interviewers may ask, I would greatly appreciate that.

Also, when I applied for this role, on my resume I wrote my sessional GPA down (3.74), but it ended up being lower than that. My cumulative GPA is also low (2.78). If I move past the interview stage, and they pull my transcripts from my school, will this pose any issues and withdraw a job offer? For what it’s worth, I have pretty good experience in customer service, and did a few youth programs that gave me banking experience. Will this make them overlook my poor academic record?

Please advise and I look forward to hearing from you all!
