Noah Everlight

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Place of Birth: Vale

Age: 18

Semblance: Photorization

Noah’s Semblance allows him to convert light energy into Aura and vice versa. By absorbing light from his surroundings, he can accelerate his Aura recovery, temporarily strengthen his body, or fuel various techniques based on light manipulation.

With enough stored energy, he can generate blinding flashes, create temporary constructs of solid light, darken areas by absorbing their illumination, or perform short-range light-based dashes. In extreme situations, he can condense massive amounts of light to enhance himself, unleash wide-area attacks, and store that energy for later use.

The effectiveness of his Semblance depends directly on the amount of available light. Dark environments, storms, or enclosed spaces significantly limit his abilities, forcing him to rely solely on his physical prowess and combat skills.

Unlike most Aura users, Noah possesses an exceptional instinctive understanding of the body’s energy flow. This allows him to reinforce his muscles, reflexes, and nervous system with unusual efficiency, even before becoming a Huntsman.

Personality

Noah is charismatic, carefree, sociable, and brutally honest. Having grown up surrounded by his eleven adoptive siblings, he rarely tolerates silence for long and tends to fill conversations with jokes, sarcastic remarks, or exaggerated stories.

He enjoys being the center of attention. He thrives on applause, compliments, competition, and the feeling of standing beneath the spotlight. For years, combat arenas were the only places where he truly felt exceptional, leading him to develop a strong need to constantly prove his worth.

Despite his easygoing attitude, Noah carries a deep insecurity. He was never particularly gifted academically and spent much of his life believing that fighting was the only thing he was truly good at. When his siblings gradually became independent and found their own paths in life, he felt lost for the first time, unable to imagine a future beyond combat.

One of Noah’s most defining traits is his honesty. He rarely filters his thoughts and tends to say exactly what he thinks, regardless of whether it is appropriate, embarrassing, or tactful. He is perfectly capable of lying when necessary, but generally prefers not to. In his mind, honesty is simply easier than maintaining a lie. This habit often gets him into trouble, especially when discussing sensitive topics, relationships, or people’s appearances.

Despite his flaws, Noah possesses a strong sense of loyalty. He would do almost anything for the people he considers family and rarely abandons someone in need.

He also has a dangerous tendency to throw himself into risky situations without fully considering the consequences, trusting that he can improvise a solution along the way.

History

Noah was born in the poorest districts of Vale and became an orphan before he was old enough to remember his biological parents.

He eventually grew up in an unconventional family made up of twelve orphans who shared the same roof, food, and struggles. The older siblings worked wherever they could to keep the household running, accepting both legal and illegal jobs depending on necessity. None of them were particularly dangerous criminals, but they also could not afford to reject opportunities when money was scarce.

Noah was the youngest of them all.

For years, he lived alongside his older siblings, doing whatever he could to help. Life was never easy. He learned how to fight before he learned how to manage money, participating in street fights held throughout Vale’s poorer districts. What began as a way to survive soon revealed a natural talent for hand-to-hand combat.

As he grew older, Noah took on increasingly greater responsibilities to support the family. He participated in underground tournaments, exhibition matches, and even worked as a gigolo for certain wealthy clients who found his appearance attractive during particularly desperate times. He never enjoyed that work, but he viewed it as just another way to put food on the table.

By the age of twelve, Noah had already become one of the family’s primary sources of income.

While training with several of his siblings on the outskirts of Vale, they were attacked by an unusually aggressive Alpha Beowolf. Noah had spent weeks accumulating injuries and exhaustion from his constant participation in fights and tournaments.

During the battle, his Aura was pushed to its absolute limit.

Then something awakened inside him.

Light from the surrounding environment began gathering around his body in the form of small golden sparks. Instinctively, Noah absorbed the energy and felt his Aura replenishing itself at an incredible rate.

That was the moment Photorization awakened.

Over the following years, Noah gradually improved his control over light while continuing to compete in increasingly prestigious tournaments. His victories began attracting sponsors, promoters, and even Huntsmen interested in the young fighter from Vale.

Eventually, Noah and his eleven siblings traveled to Mistral to participate in professional fighting circuits. For several years, he became a relatively well-known figure in certain competitive circles, earning local fame through his aggressive, flashy, and highly entertaining fighting style.

However, while Noah continued fighting, the rest of his siblings slowly began building lives of their own.

Some opened businesses.

Others found stable jobs.

Some started families.

For the first time in his life, Noah was no longer needed.

Although they sincerely thanked him for everything he had done for them over the years, Noah struggled to find a purpose for himself. His entire identity had been built around fighting and earning money.

That was when he seriously began considering becoming a Huntsman.

Not only was it a profession where his abilities could be useful, but it also offered him the chance to receive a formal education, meet new people, and discover a purpose greater than simply surviving from one fight to the next.

After passing the Beacon entrance exams—with considerable difficulty in the academic portions—and drawing the attention of several instructors thanks to his exceptional physical abilities, Noah was accepted into Beacon Academy.

[RWBY OC Weapon Design] Opinions about a transformable weapon design

I am working on the design of a weapon for a RWBY OC and I would like to receive opinions and ideas. The main concept is a sniper rifle that can be transformed into an alabard, maintaining a credible transformation mechanic within the style of RWBY. My intention is to integrate an interchangeable Dust system that influences both the ammunition of the rifle and the capabilities of the halberd. I'm also trying to design a visually interesting transformation, showing step by step how the rifle is deployed and reorganized to become a functional pole weapon. I would like to know what mechanisms you would use, what elements you would add or change, and what references of RWBY transformable weapons you think could serve as inspiration. Any suggestion, criticism or sketch will be of great help. Thank you for your time!

(OC) Tyr Vulkain

Good morning, afternoon, or evening. This comment is an English translation of the character’s profile.

Tyr Vulkain

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Place of Birth: A small rural village on the outskirts of Mistral, in the region of Anima

Age: 18

Semblance: Creation

Tyr’s Semblance allows him to convert Aura into permanent physical matter, creating real objects, mechanisms, and structures from his own knowledge and understanding. The more familiar he is with the composition, functionality, and structure of what he wishes to create, the less Aura it consumes and the more stable the final product becomes. Simple objects such as tools, metal plates, or ammunition can be created almost instantly, while complex mechanisms, Dust systems, or advanced prosthetics require intense concentration and enormous amounts of Aura.

Unlike other temporary creation-type Semblances, the objects Tyr produces do not disappear when his Aura is depleted; the matter remains even after his Aura breaks, as though he had truly transformed part of himself into tangible material. Because of this, many specialists consider his ability to partially defy the known rules surrounding Aura and Dust.

However, Creation possesses several dangerous limitations. The process demands absolute mental precision: even the slightest mistakes in calculations, materials, or proportions can destabilize what he creates, resulting in structural failure. Furthermore, the immense Aura flow required for complex creations can overload Tyr’s body, causing nerve exhaustion or temporary loss of physical sensation.

His Semblance also appears to react violently to extreme emotional states, especially intense rage or traumatic memories, causing unstable creations and involuntary manifestations around his body.

Personality

Tyr is reserved, cautious, and emotionally difficult to read. After the death of his parents during childhood and the years he spent surviving in Kuchinasi, he developed a strong emotional detachment that makes expressing his feelings naturally very difficult. He often appears indifferent or distant even when he genuinely cares about someone, and usually prefers listening over speaking.

Despite this, Tyr possesses a genuinely kind nature. He has enormous patience when it comes to teaching, repairing things, or helping others, especially injured people, children, or disabled individuals. He finds peace in working with his hands—cleaning, cooking, sewing, dismantling mechanisms, or creating useful objects for others—as though building things allows him to give meaning to a world that constantly destroys itself.

However, beneath that calm exterior lies deeply buried rage. Tyr never forgot the night he watched his parents die before him, nor the figure with black hair and a red sword wearing a Grimm-inspired mask. When certain memories resurface, his judgment can become dangerously clouded and his Aura turns erratic and unstable, driving him to act far more aggressively and recklessly than usual.

Tyr hates feeling useless. Due to the years he spent depending on others to survive, he developed an almost obsessive need to be capable of repairing, building, or solving every problem by himself. He rarely asks for help and often carries far more physical and emotional weight than he can truly endure.

Although he rarely admits it, he is deeply afraid of losing the few people he comes to consider important.

Backstory

Tyr Vulkain was born in a small village far from the walls of Mistral, within the rural regions of Anima. His family lived modestly through farming, blacksmithing, and local trade, enduring a harsh but peaceful life away from the political tensions of the great kingdoms. During his early years, Tyr grew up surrounded by tools, metal, and forge fire, developing a fascination with mechanisms and broken objects that he constantly attempted to repair on his own.

Everything changed when he was seven years old.

A group of raiders descended upon the village during the night. What began as a robbery quickly turned into a massacre. Amid the chaos, Tyr watched his parents die before him at the hands of a man wearing a Grimm-inspired mask and wielding a red sword shining beneath the moonlight. During the attack, Tyr lost his right leg while trying to escape through the burning buildings.

The image of that night became permanently engraved in his mind.

After the village fell, the survivors were taken as merchandise by the same bandits. Tyr eventually ended up sold within the criminal city of Kuchinasi as a servant to an elderly weaponsmith connected to the local black market. Although the man never showed him affection, he provided Tyr with a rudimentary prosthetic leg and forced him to work in the forge from a very young age.

Over the years, Tyr learned through observation. He repaired mechanisms, cleaned weapons, dismantled Dust systems, and studied every component that passed through his hands. What began as simple survival eventually revealed extraordinary talent for engineering and mechanical design. In time, he started crafting his own tools, modifying prosthetics, and designing mechanisms far more advanced than what someone his age should have been capable of creating.

However, the nights were never peaceful. He constantly relived the deaths of his parents and the image of the red sword piercing through blood-covered bodies. Those memories fed a silent rage that Tyr learned to hide behind an appearance of emotional apathy.

During his adolescence, the old weaponsmith unlocked Tyr’s Aura after recognizing the boy’s incredible physical potential for forge work rather than combat protection. What they discovered was abnormal even by Huntsman standards: Tyr possessed absurdly massive Aura reserves, though they were incredibly unstable due to his inexperience and their overwhelming scale. His Aura constantly fluctuated between moments of extreme intensity and sudden collapses, as though something within him interfered with its natural flow—like trying to redirect a river with bare hands.

Years later, a rival gang attacked the forge in an attempt to cut off their enemies’ weapon supply. The battle ended in a massive explosion that destroyed much of the building. Tyr lost both arms while trying to save equipment and survivors trapped beneath the rubble.

That was when his Semblance awakened.

Amid the pain, terror, and screams, he began creating primitive prosthetics directly from his Aura, forming incomplete metallic structures that temporarily replaced his destroyed limbs, stopping the bleeding and keeping him alive. Although he barely understood what was happening, that moment marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

Over the following years, he slowly refined his abilities, developing increasingly complex prosthetics and transforming his artificial limbs into the multipurpose system known as “Tank Black,” alongside a mental support system called the “Third Eye.” His creations and knowledge soon began attracting attention beyond Kuchinasi, particularly from Atlas technological and military sectors interested in understanding how his Semblance could produce permanent matter.

Eventually, Atlesian agents offered Tyr the opportunity to leave Kuchinasi and receive formal training under specialized supervision. Officially, they sought to support a young mechanical prodigy with the potential to become a Huntsman. Unofficially, they wanted to investigate both him and his Semblance.

Although Atlas provided him with advanced technology and training, Tyr never truly felt comfortable within the kingdom’s military and scientific environment. Many saw him more as a strategic resource than as a person.

General James Ironwood was one of the few individuals who recognized the human potential behind the young man. Believing that Beacon Academy could offer Tyr a more balanced life away from Atlas’ military pressure, Ironwood personally recommended him for admission under the supervision of Ozpin.

(OC) Tyr Vulkain

Tyr Vulkain

Género: Masculino

Raza: Humano
