Piercing and Pregnancy
Hello! I am a body piercer, and we all know not to get new piercings while pregnant or breastfeeding. But what about giving piercings while pregnant?
Where I live, I would likely be able to get preventative leave paid at 90% of my salary because of exposure risk to pathogens just like nurses do. Altough for nurses they usually get reassigned to different tasks that dont put them at risk. I would be more than hapoy to be reassigned but it's not something my shop will be able to do most likely as we already have front desks. I love my job, but right now my priority is keeping me and baby safe. Have any piercers here take leave during pregnancy? A coworker of mine decided last year to only reduce her hours and was reassigned to other tasks at around 6 months as a personal choice but I think if I'm getting the opportunity to have the preventative leave I would do it.
