Dear Espresso lovers,

I'm planning to upgrade my espresso machine from a single boiler to a HX. My limit is under 1000€ second hand and I found the following machines available nearby:

• ECM Giotto 2001 fully refurbished, basically brand new condition for 650€
  • Pro is the fact that seller is a professional technician, and condition of machine is known the most
  • Con is the fact machine is 25year old
• Profitec pro 500, 6 years old, the only issue is seller said he descaled it a few times, although Profitec doesn't recommend this - for 900€
  • This one has PID although it's still a HX, and seller descaled it a few times
• Rocket Cellini Evoluzione v2 with Macap M4D grinder for 900€ - not much to say, rotary pump, good condition based on pictures.
  • Not much info from customer (obviously during collection I could observe inside out), but looks good, and I could sell the grinder or my current one for around 300€, depending on which one I like better.
• ECM Mechanika V slim (no PID version) for 700€ - built like a tank but seller didn't respond in 4 days :D
  • No PID, but basically no electronics, and I like the fact that it's like a Toyota of espresso machines.

For a reference, a brand new Lelit Mara X V2 is around 1400 euros here. For my needs, 90% of the time all of them would be overkill, but sometimes we host guests, where it would be great to handle better milk based drinks, americanos, etc.
