New career as a bench jeweler help. North Carolina.
Hello! So I am a current store owner. We’ve been in the industry for a long time as “merchants”, and our two bench jewelers are retiring soon. I’m looking into schools like New Approach and Drouhards so I can start learning basic basic repairs. It’s always been something I’ve wanted to do. Way more than what I currently do (sales).
Would a two week program be enough to get my toes wet so I could start an apprenticeship? Also, I have access to our shop at any time. What would be the best way to practice what I learn?
Thank you
