Countries trade their ingredients, techniques, spices and herbs to each other for centuries and they’re still trading today. So why bother comparing a cuisine to the rest of Southeast and East Asia? That is not necessarily because that just shows that Filipino Online Doomerists wants validation that their own cuisine is bad and unhealthy. And saying that Filipino Cuisine is bad because they lack spices and herbs is ridiculous. THEY SHOULD TAKE A LOOK AT JAPAN for example, Online Doomerists love Japanese Dishes for sure, but what they don’t realize is that Japanese Dishes doesn’t have spices and herbs. Worse, when we tell them that they said that they don’t like food that has no spices and herbs but then when it comes to Japanese Cuisine which their dishes don’t have spices and herbs like certain Filipino Dishes, they’ll move the goalpost into something else. They even said that what Filipinos only eats were rice, meat and fish while this may sound neutral but behind the phrase it has a weaponized meaning and that is that Filipino Cuisine lacks vegetables that’s their true agenda behind this phrase. Other countries in Southeast and East also has meat and fish including Japan or China. Also with rice when it comes to Filipino Cuisine, Filipino Online Doomerists demonized it but at the same time when it comes to other Southeast or East Asian cuisines that has rice even including the white rice like the Philippines, they hypocritically gave them a pass despite some countries consume more rice than the Philippines.
