One of Kinnikuman's flaws in writing, Jobber Syndrome.

One of Kinnikuman's flaws in writing, Jobber Syndrome.

Imagine being hyped up, given the moment to shine and show you've awakened yourself. That would be an awesome moment indeed but what if it gets turned to shit? That happens with most characters in the Kinnikuman universe.

Characters like Stecasse King and Robin Mask (pre-reboot) were given chances of ultimate glory which don't even do anything at all. I get the decision of letting a chojin shine bright but that's called "Jerking the Reader" when you ultimately decide they go out the worst way.

Sneagator was at least killed with honor while the others weren't. Above anyone else, Stecasse King had the most development as we've seen in DEEP OF MUSCLE. The whole side story was literally him being told how to handle a weakness he long had been tossed around with and the manga didn't disappoint with his growth.... If only the reboot did it with justice.

Stecasse didn't leave a legacy like Sneagator nor had he contributed to anything like Springman, he just died leaving his development to waste. Guess that's what's called being a jobber. In wrestling, it's no secret that jobbers take the most absurd amount of hits just to show off their opponent's greatest capabilities. For Stecasse's case, he was always a jobber until he was being treated like an actual character that didn't just take hits for the fuck of it.

He was given a chance of growth while Sneagator was obviously a sign of declining performance, a foreshadowing of his death. This isn't just exclusive to Stecasse, Warsman gets the same treatment too. His latest win was technically a draw that cost his life. Polarman was a great fight and had the right build-up to it, albeit the deus machina stuff.

Where I draw the line was in the Omega Six Spears arc, they wasted entire characters like lambs for the slaughter. Guess what happens? They build up and they decide to just die with the victor only being Rikishiman who didn't have the same level of growth as Benkiman let alone Canadian Man who was present the entire series. Omega Six Spears is what I'd consider to be the least favorable arc because of this opening sequence.

Everything was stupidly predictable and it didn't give you the anticipation nor the unpredictability Perfect Origin Arc and Time Chojins Arc gave. Instead they just slapped in jobbers, gave them "honorable" dialogue and killed them easily.

So I ask you guys, do Jobbers have a need to win even for just once in their lives?

Samsung is a dick + I sorta need help

Since my previous phone got snatched I bought a new one. Only for it to be a Samsung which I honestly hate when it comes to involving the files. Of course, I was getting irritated with having to read manga through browsers and wanted them downloaded in case wifi goes out. What do you know? Starting the app and making Folders is a big bitch.

I even had to look around guides even with the official storage guide only to find completely 0 WAYS OF FIXING THIS MIGRAINE. Samsung if you're watching this, count your days whoever decided this was a good idea.
