This is My Take on Why Many in The POE Community are Upset After the Latest Patch.........

This is what people are not understanding. It's more complex than just loot or no loot.

Some history first on POE1. After settlers league (3.26) explicit modifiers on atlas passives were nerfed hence nerfing EVERY farm in the game that relied on quant/rarity and difficulty of monsters to actually drop cool shit.

Titanic blight? Nerf. Breach? Nerf, Titanic Exiles? Nerf.

So what was naturally left?

Tile loot. Things that aren't affected nearly as much or at all by atlas passives IE explicit modifiers.

It's where the loot is coming from. POE1 used to be a game where you could farm almost anything and it felt rewarding. In the current state of the game because of 3 leagues of atlas passive nerfs, quant/rarity nerfs ect, we are on a downward slope of ground loot and just now the player base is hitting the breaking point it seems.

The issue is that every time a fun ground farm is available, ggg nerfs it because its wildly popular. Why is it wildly popular? Because its fun. Right now it feels like the basic idea of an ARPG (which is killing monsters to then reinvest in better gear to fight harder monsters to then reinvest on and on and on.....) at is basis is not rewarding in poe1. People are in an uproar because many of us felt like this patch may be the saving grace of the league for ground loot.

What needed to happen is buff OTHER farms to the level of that popular mechanic, not gut everything...

It was not. Instead of Fixing ground loot

Either click box, run league mechanic, or sorry pal. Crappy loot for you.

-LESS GROUND LOOT = LESS VIABLE FARMS IN THE GAME- = LESS FUN

Not only is this skewing farms heavily in the direction of tile farms, it is quite litterally making the game easier because generally tile farms are easier. If there is less difficulty in the game, less loot then why spend all that time and effort to make a GG charector?

Make sense?
