Not sure I’m in the correct place for this but I’ve been trying to get a GE Cassette recorder/player to work. I found this at goodwill for like 4 bucks and it was broken when I got it. I took it apart, tried cleaning bits that the internet said to clean and oiled the capstan. It’s still making the same noise.
I am pretty sure it’s the speaker because the noise doesn’t play when the volume is down. I know nothing though. Does anyone know what may be causing it? Is this something I can fix?
