Hey everyone! I’m currently a community college student in Texas, pursuing an Associate of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences. I’m planning to transfer to a university and hope to become a Child Life Specialist.
I’ve been researching schools in Texas and out of state, but I’ve only found a few that offer programs or pathways related to Child Life. It also seems like not many people are familiar with this career.
I’m hoping to get some advice:
Which university would you recommend for someone interested in becoming a Child Life Specialist?
If you attended one of these programs, what was your experience like?
Is there anything you wish you had known before transferring or starting the program?
I’d really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences. Thank you!

I am a first generation student looking for out of state colleges and Ohio universities grab my attention. Any advice who ever transferred there.

Hey guys, I’m new to this app so, I don’t know how this works yet (still learning). But anyways as a student with learning disabilities, I kinda of struggle to keep up with understanding the lectures but also I always ask for videos so I can look back at them so my professors don’t have to repeat themselves in person.
The thing is , I had a professor in my algebra class she always seem annoyed by me for always asking for help, one time I was struggling to understand her that she got annoyed for helping me, she end up walking away. I felt very bad about myself.

I wondering how proffers feel about these kind of students . (Very curious)
