Reflexion after one month of doing project pan
So I’ve been doing project pan for about a month now and I can say I’m pretty proud of myself! I thought the project would only make more space in my room and get rid of stuff I don’t need but there is so much more that project pan gave me.
Firstly, I’m now excited to take care of myself and take showers and everything. I have ADHD and sometimes taking care of myself can be SO hard because of the lack of dopamine that task usually gives me. But now I do my morning AND night routine almost everyday, sometimes I take time during the day to put on a little face mask and taking care of myself is so much more fun than before.
Secondly, even if my buying urges are still well alive, project pan made me acknowledge how many products I have and how little I actually use. So now when I see a beautiful new lip balm in a flavor I don’t have, I look in my pocket to see the chapstick I’ve been panning for the last 3 weeks and I tell myself that maybe 7 dollars isn’t worth that new flavor.
Thirdly, I’ve always been scared to use nice products because if I use it all, then it’s gone. I know this logic is dumb but theses thoughts are slowing beginning to die down and I tell myself that if I don’t use the products I have, then I’ll never get to use them since they’ll expire.
Finally, I’ve realized that project pan can not only be done with makeup, but also with stationary and other things. So I’m also trying to “pan” other aspects of my life, making me feel way less overwhelmed and cluttered.
Honestly, everyone should do project pan because we all have too many of something, even if it’s not makeup!
