First time changing the oil myself. 2nd oil change. New TPMS next, ignore the light!

I brought the car to my local gas station and provided the oil, oil filter and Ceratec for the first oil change. This time I decided to give it a go. Definitely as easy as expected, with the right Oil filter wrench. I had to make a run to Autozone because I had the wrong oil filter removal tool, the one with the expandable arms are trash never again. I used a Tokyo Roki filter, new crush washer, and I filled the oil filter first. After filling the filter I added the rest of the 5L bottle and topped off with the 1L. Luckily I’ve never had any issues with burning oil or oil consumption, but overfilling a lil bit on these cars won’t hurt. I forgot my cabin filter and engine air filter at my apt so I will do those when I get home. I plan on doing the gear oil and transmission oil next, but will wait til the next oil change or do it right before winter. Also the TPMS after I powder coat the wheels.

Edit: After some serious concern I have drained the lil and added 5l only. Thanks for everyone who reached out or showed concern. Appreciate y’all.

Paint Correction + Ceramic Coating

After having nightmares about car washes and getting swirls, I decided to take the plunge. Took it to get detailed 10 days ago and this is my first maintenance wash. Will be washing it by hand now and trying to keep her looking clean.

New tires for the summer.

It’s been a month and I just noticed, the tires were missed matched. Let’s change that! I was able to grab the factory Dunlops for cheap hoping they’re decent but either way they should be fine for summer in NYC.

First Oil Change.

Just did my first oil change. I opted to go with Liqui Moly Leichtlauf High Tech Full Synthetic 5W-40 as it was on sale. I also used a bottle of Ceratec and a Tokyo Roki filter with a new crush washer as advised. They say you typically see results with the Ceratec in around 300-500 miles but the idle already seems to be smoother. I would def recommend this route for people who can’t get their hands on Motul or want to save a few bucks.

Recently purchased the Maxl complete system and will try that in a week or two. Anyone have any experience with it? Been using MaxL one, since I bought the car. My boy used a little and ended up paying me $40 for the rest of the bottle. So now we’re starting fresh.
