Wood
All right. Inching toward some big decisions.
Building an outdoor sauna. On a gravel pad.
Hoping for opinions about knotty cedar versus thermo spruce for my sauna interior. Anyone bothered by the thermo smell? How long does the smell last? Not really interested in clear cedar because I am cheap.
(Benches will probably be alder)
And secondarily, any thoughts on whether the floor joists should be treated wood? They will be about 3.5 inches off the gravel pad. The rim of the floor frame will be treated.
Thank you for your consideration.
